This was mentioned in another thread, but it deserves a thread of its own, because it is Fucking great.
Sure, it's a bit grindey at times, but I haven't spent any real money on it yet and I have played it for hours.
It's puzzle quest, but with superhero card collecting!
I've just got a rare model 40 ironman, but he's a bit shit compared to the common model 35 :(

It seems fun so far. Very grindy, and the regular damage just seems to be ineffective compared to the special damage, but it's entertaining enough.

I got a rare Loki. Regular damage gets much higher as you level up - I'm liking it too.

Anyone playing should connect to Facebook so they get treats from me and Trooper (and we get treats from them).

It doesn't post anything (that I've seen so far).

I got a three star 'The Hood' but couldn't add it to my team as it DOESN'T LET YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY ON WHAT YOU WANT so I sold it. Oh well.

I am mostly playing with Iron Man, Hawkeye and Magneto.

I also have Spider-Man with a bag on his head. Weird.

I have him too.

You get coins every so often, and once you get past the tutorial section, you can spend those coins on unlocking slots in your card deck, which is what you really want to spend your coins on, don't waste them on anything else. More cards means more playing time.

I have a 3 man team which I use for PvP and to progress the story, who are my badasses. Ironman 35, Black Widow and Storm. And another 3 man team that I use to mop up the extra rewards in past story rounds, after my badass team is too injured to fight again. Bagman spiderman, juggernaut and Ironman 40.

Ideally, you want characters that complement each other, so that you have all matches going towards a special attack

Gah! Annoying when you're about to win, and in consecutive turns a silly analyst does over 300 damage each go and kills you.

What do you mean? I've not had team-adding issues, beyond your roster size being limited.

Glad you're digging the game (I was he who mentioned it!). I'm currently rocking the level 50 original Iron Man, level 40 juggernaut and nearly level 40 Black Widow.

I guess what I do find irksome is the rarity of a lot of the characters. I get someone potentially decent, level him up to his glass ceiling, and then can do no more to make him great, because I'll never get any more of his cards and therefore never level up his special moves, which I need to do in order to level him up more.

I don't find the normal move-special move disparity all that noticeable. My regular moves tend to do in the region of 100 damage, and my 900+ moves tend to happen every 9 turns or so, so the rhythm seems fine. Plus, when you do your 4s ad 5s, it gets really interesting.

This is now eating all my time that wasn't already being eaten by a tiny shouty tyrant. Thanks a lot, The Internet.

I hate Juggernaut.

He killed my best team in about six turns.

* Match a stack of greens!
* Do that green attack thing!
* Headbutt insta-death every subsequent turn!

Funnily enough, it's great when he's on your team.

Though I never do the headbutt thing. I can never be arsed waiting for his hit points to restore.

There was a recruit level in the hulk weekly mission, and the only reward on offer was a hulk card.
Not sure I'd it was supposed to be up yet, but I jumped at it and now I have the hulk :)

Yup. It's a bit weird, I thought he was supposed to be the reward for coming in the top sections of the leaderboard.

That's the case in most "micro" transaction games - I figure it's the max Google will let them charge. $100, maybe?

I am now irritated, as I have about 8 cool people waiting for me to recruit them, including The Hulk, but it costs 100G to add anyone, and the game doesn't really ever hand them out, so I would have to buy them if I want to play with the characters. Gah.

You can get some from pvp quite quickly, and there are a few levels where you can get them in the prologue. I'm up to 9 characters on my roster and I haven't bought any yet...

PVP seems to level up pretty slowly. I think I need to win another 10 fights before I get any more gold. And then after that none for aaaages! Boo!

I do have seven already though. Maybe I should sell the shit ones.

Yeah, if I get someone amazing (like Dr Doom classic) I'll make space for him and get him on my books. Everyone else can eat one, as my dudes are now pretty nice.

My one issue at the moment (apart from having lost my phone) is the fact that everyone is as levelled up as I can get them. Three are completely maxed, but the rest need their specials powering up before I can level the characters. So galling when I see level 85 Thors running around, and I have thousands of juice points sitting there.

Sometimes the "random" number generator is bullshit though. I've just done one level 6 times and got 20 purple thingies each time, even though there are 3 out of the 4 rewards still available.

Also, some of the difficulty ratings are totally out of whack.

Agree on both of those.

Fun little game though. My best trio is currently Hawkeye, Iron Man and Storm, though Storm and Black Widow are incredible when up against one enemy. Just keep them stunned permanently :)

Storm, Hawkeye, and Wolverine for me. Hawkeye mostly to get rid of the bad guy counter tiles.

Yeah, he's good for that.

Man, the game can sometimes be harsh. I was winning a recent one until the computer killed all three people (about 3500HP in total) in one turn. Which I thought was a bit mean.

Can't really progress in the fake PVP mode.

It always picks me people way ahead in level to win me about 10 points. I do a couple of those, and by the time I am recharged I've been attacked three times and lost 40 points!

The SHIELD training thing annoys me. Overnight I lost about 70 points, mostly from one guy attacking me five times. Seems a little unfair.

I've got Original Black Widow levelled up to the point that she's first choice on the team sheet. Because one of her powers is a cheap, powerful team-heal that means I'm often ending fights on max health which allows me to spam "event" tournaments like the Widowmaker over and over again.

This is not entirely a good thing. :D

Is there any way of getting to choose who to send shared rewards to? It always picks for me.

I'm not really enjoying this. I can't seem to compete in any of the tournaments because everyone else is level 20+ and I'm only 5/6, and the story modes all have silly hard people in them who kill me.

And I don't really get it.

Who did you get as your starter characters? I found it really difficult to actually lose a round when I first started out, it wasn't until I got to Juggernaut that it started to get trickier.

Iron Man, Storm, and Hawkeye I think.

I've now also got Bagman, Hawkeye Modern and Magneto (who seems shit).

Done all of the Prologue missions and got all rewards, and have tried a few of the Juggernaut and Venom ones, but I don't really understand the covers, and how to tell whether I'm getting a new character or a training cover for them.

I currently have 10 people on my roster:

1*
Iron Man (lvl33)
Storm (lvl24)
Hawkeye (lvl 25)
Black Widow (lvl 25)
Juggernaut

2*
Storm [Classic] (lvl 16)
Thor (lvl 24)

3*
Hulk (lvl 25)
Spider-Man (lvl 15)
Iron Man [Model 40] (lvl 15)

I'm probably about to win a 2* Wolverine too, but have no space to put him in. Tempted to sell the 1* Storm, but she's really useful for collecting power. Could sell a 2* or 3* because you rarely get their covers, but that just seems like a waste as they could be so good!

A high level Wolverine is a right fucker to fight against, I fought one in PVP earlier and just couldn't make a dent, he healed all the damage I did to him in normal matching, so only special attacks could touch him.

Remember when we all got him in the Hulk event? It reset, so I got him again.

Also, Original Black Widow is evil. Just played against her in the Widow event, and she defeated me without any of her team getting hurt. Every single turn she stole all my stuff, and every single turn she hit 'Espionage' too. And then after a few turns of me hitting, she just heals everyone on her side for hundreds. I'm hoping that she just got very lucky on her matching, or else she is literally unbeatable.

And that's a L19 Widow against my L33 Iron Man and two other L25s.
