I don't think the secret roles (if they exist) are bad, there just seems to be the demented elf at play. I wonder if one of them was feeding Grim... Info, we never did find out what he knew.

So to clear that up - you got a message the night before last - which said merry christmas and "The marleys were dead to begin with" and Goddess Jasmine got one yesterday which said "Merry Christmas and 'It's the annual penguin skating party!"

So i'm the remaining elf note passer - however i dont have anything useful to give and the only notes i could see worthy of passing were wishing people had a merry Christmas (while quoting from The Muppet's Christmas Carol)

The remaining roles then are the two 'sekrit' ones + the demented elf - who could basically be anyone - they dont need to have had any pattern in how they voted they could just kill people each night

There may not be - it seems odd that we have not seen anything of them yet - and my guess today was that Santanalian was the marketing person as he seemed so sure of Gospvg (I thought he might have targetted him on night one and since he did not leave town he must be good)

So if there are no secret (or no evil secret) roles then we have 7 people left and one bad - it does mean we have a few goes at this

Wrong guess today means tomorrow starts with 5
Wrong guess tomorrow means the next day starts with 3
and a wrong guess then means the SK wins

I got the day one message about being 'recruited' though. That was a strange one as they said Gos was good. And it turns out he was.

Ok, is there any reason why those with sekret roles shouldn't make themselves known right now? We could narrow down the list of suspects.

Santanalian received a message on day one from the Mafia Note Passer.
Santanalian didn't receive the message from zaphod79 (the Elf Note Passer.)

Theory:

Bad note passers can send notes to bad people.
Good note passers can send notes to good people.

Santanalian didn't receive zaphod79's note, because zaphod79 is good and Santanalian is bad.

Discuss.

Also, the content of the note that Santanalian claimed to receive on day one is a little suspicious - claiming that gospvg was good (which was true, but the only way that could be known at that time would have been if it was sent to him by the Mafia Note Passer) and that if he posted to say that gospvg was good on day two, he would be recruited.

Sounds like utter shash to me, that.

Santanalian has also been one of the "loudest" players, whilst being the most vocal about offing the quietest players. Even suggesting modkills - perhaps to make his life easier and make him more likely to win - he has to kill fewer people.

Yesterday near the end of the day Santanalian switched to me and said i was the mastermind behind the whole thing - if he started to get votes for me I would have said i was the elf note passer and that I passed him a note the night before.

He would have said he did not get it (so to him that makes me look guilty and trying to hide) and to me that would make it look as if he was a bad guy and lying that he did not get the note.

Anyway - one random hit for today - whos on anyones radar ?

Does not compute. the DE's win condition is the same as the Mafia; not so merry. Voting for the mafia, indeed leading the charge against Mr Russ, would have been a very silly thing to do for the DE. Ergo, I am not the DE. This also makes your logic for assuming Gaz is good flawed.

Also, can we please hear from the quiet ones now. For the love of god, please. The only way the town can figure this out is if we get talking. It's the only power the elfs (elves?) have at this stage and it's so important.

The DE does not know who is mafia - leading a charge against someone who later turned out to be mafia doesnt matter they just want the numbers to go down.

The DE just wants to make sure things happen - as long as there is a vote and its not for them it helps them.
If we had a *known* mafia then that might be different.

Leading a vote for someone again i dont see as a negative for the DE - they want a vote and dont care how it comes about.

From the DE perspective - any day that ends in a vote is a good one - any day that doesnt means theres one extra person around that they have to kill.

As one of the 'quiet' players and a pureblood elf, this looks like good sense. Elves are quiet and noble beings, and would never suggest anything as potentially damaging as 'modkills'. Unless they were demented.
