My 10 year anniversary is in January, that's a third of my damn life. Wouldn't change a minute though.

Two weeks ago I left a company I'd been at for ten and a half years. Being the clueless new guy fucking sucks.

Our place gives you three months off on full pay when you get to 10 years.
I've been here over 10 years in total, but left and came back, so the clock got reset, the bastards.

Invited to a ball by a lass I'd met ten minutes prior.
Still got it.

My yay is that Russell took me on a surprise mini-break to where I grew up. I cried a bit. It's so nice and unchanged, and quiet. Apart from the brutal murder the night we got there in the very spot that we walked to so that I could re-live my memories. But apart from that.

Then today we went to Whipsnade. I waved at Grim... When we went by :)

Two people. One a while ago and another to relive the memories.

I've become utterly convinced I've totally done the right thing with this job lark. Just starting my second week now with this Apple Reseller and I'm absolutely loving it here. Really nice working environment, really friendly people, very professional level work and service they do. I've been issued a MacBook for the time being to get me started here before I get a more permanent computer, so I spent the weekend re-acclimatising to OS X. I forgot just how much I like it, to be completely honest.

I've so far spent my days here in the workshop testing and repairing fabulously expensive Apple computers - this morning I had a MacBook Pro with Retina display in, equipped with a 512GB SSD as it's primary hard drive. I may have spent longer than absolutely necessary working on it. Having to give it back to the customer was extremely tough. This job is giving me terrible gadget lust already.

My lovely man took me on a surprise night out to see Derren Brown last night :) :) Pretty much the most amazing thing I've ever seen!! The guy is a genius, and his honesty about 'magic' and 'tricks' is so refreshing. He swore us to secrecy about the content, so no spoilers I promise, but if anyone can get cancellation tickets to see it this week (it's the last week) then OMG DO!!

Just won a cricket bat for being awesome at fantasy cricket.

I'm fourth in the overall leaderboards too, so could conceivably pick up the main prize!

I went to see that last week with the missus. Whilst queueing at the bar before the show, I couldn't help but notice a giant of a man patiently looming behind me waiting to be served. When I turned to look, it was Stephen Fry! :luv:

Awesome show though, wasn't it? Still can't work out how he did the finale.

I haven't changed my team since the 2nd ashes match.

I love living in a world where my friend took up pole dancing classes for fitness or somesuch hnd her husband said "You keep it up, darling", then they buy a pole for home use and now she dances and then the photos are put on facebook and I will keep liking these photos because everyone wins.

The girls downstairs have a stripper pole. Inexplicably I have yet to be invited in to provide constructive feedback.

The in-built heuristics noticed you were replying to Craster and went with the most likely substitution.

I shall get us some cheap suits, laminated badges, you a couple of ipads, and we will be marketing people and say "disruptive communication" a lot and then we can see their boobies.

:DD

Just like his phone has started autocorrecting "cat" to "Kat" (my nickname).

Craster, we communicate via phone too much.

I fear they might recognise me even through such a fearsome disguise. Also, what most guys imagine aside, I'm fairly sure that girls in a flat on their own don't actually, y'know, strip when utilising a stripper pole.
