Quote:
Gears of War: Judgement, which is being made by Bulletstorm developer People Can Fly, will be set 15 years before the events of the first game in the series.

It sees series’ protagonists Baird and his Kilo Squad “stand trial for transgression against the Coalition of Governments”.

Oooh!

Quote:
The multiplayer component will for the first time feature a class-based system. The COG armies can choose between soldier, scout, medic and engineer while the Locusts have wretch, ticker, kantus, grenadier, bloodmount, mauler, serapede and corpse – all of which boast a far wider assortment of specialities that you’d typically find in such a title.

Possibly boo! I hope they don't have unlockables and a premium subscription.

Kilo Squad also includes Cole. From the sounds of things this happens between E-Day and the Hammer Strikes, so it will likely include lots of evacuations.

The Mechanic's (sic) of Overrun? :belm:

Also, THEY'VE BROKEN THE CANON!!!!!111

Baird joined on E-Day and met Cole a month later when they were both new recruits. That the guy in the trailer is saying it's three weeks after E-Day and Baird was a Lieutenant with his own squad is just crap.

Also, :nerd:

Depends if non-stop rubbish DLC kills this like it did with GoW3.

Non stop rubbish? I thought the DLC was alright and pretty much what I expected. Wasn't it just maps and an extra (albeit short) campaign mission?

Speaking of which, we still haven't finished that, or the main story in Arcade mode. Aren't you looking forward to the Lament Berserker boss battle again?

"Wankah!"

It was pretty uninspired stuff, apart from the Raam's Shadow bit. Totally not worth buying the Season Pass for.

Then I'll probably sell it for some space men.

Is this the main thread for this game?

I'm playing it since it's pretty much the last exclusive I want to play so I can get rid of my Xbox.
It's easily the best single player gears, whole lot more fun, separated into little 10 minute chunks so there's no more long drawn out battles and walking bits. Also each segment has an optional mission, which has guidelines such as use shotguns only, stronger enemies, limited visibility, time limits and so on. And I've completed each one so far and it keeps the game varied, making you use weapons your not familiar with and giving you more of a challenge. I struggled to finish gears 3 but I'm flying through this one.

When did I start this? Eons again, that's when. Turns out I moved my 360 upstairs so I could game in bed but it turns out I'd rather build a little fort in bed than play games. So many months later (this was pre-PS4, I think) I've moved the 360 back downstairs so I can finish this and pack away the 360 for good. No reason to keep it out really; even if I want to play Titanfall, I ain't gonna pay for the privilege on this aging piece of kit. Talking of which, I can't believe how friggin loud the 360 is. I think I need to finish this before it explodes. And Mew Tear so I can shove it on my finish 52 games freeing myself up to play new new shiny Christmas games! Shiny shiny.

Oh, I better crack on with this then.

I've just played one level where the level is made artificially difficult by toxic gas making the screen go wibbly wobbly and fading in and out of darkness. Great stuff.

Preceded by the level made artificially harder by indoor fog making it difficult to see 5 feet in front of you. Fog. Indoors. Least the effect was done well.

Anyway, they definitely definitely definitely aren't running out of ideas. Definitely definitely definitely not, no sir. Honest.

Anyone know what I meant to say here instead of "Mew Tear". I think I was drunk on advocaat last night.

Christ, this is a bit boring isn't it? Separating the game into levels and not really having much of a story leaves short bursts of shooting. Again and again and again. And when did Gears shooting become so boring? I always thought it was pretty cool but it turns out you can mash through the level with the shotgun and a good dose of rushing in and getting bloody. Normal difficty is a piece of piss even with just the computer reviving me. Bored.
