Yeah, that ain't going to happen, with the combination of desperately trying to finish off work before I go on holiday, and actually packing to go on holiday.

I'll tell you what, I'll ring the siren tomorrow. Rum-based drinks and cigars, see you there.

Been a really profitable year so far for SavyGamer. Normally after Christmas there is a big dip, but it's not really slowed down much this year. I've got a big stack of spare money in the bank for the first time in my life. I'm so used to getting by not spending very much that I'm not quite sure what to do with it. The new Xbox and the PS4 are going to be big business for me, and supposedly Valve are working on adding affiliate commission to Steam. If they do that, my income will probably double overnight, so fingers crossed.

Maybe you could employ him as a subcontractor like that bloke did a few weeks ago? Remember that IT bloke who was paying a Chinese guy to do his work for him?

Cheque for the insurance payment for my leaky shower has come through :) Only took 8 months from when I claimed.
Their original advice was that I need to wait before I did anything to fix the damage until they had agreed they would pay, glad I didn't do that then, as they only finally agreed they would cover it last week!

Big yay for me that'll soon turn into a big nay. I've an interview with those fun filled folks at the SRA tomorrow to beg for authorisation for Teh Sekreet Projekt. Apparently they'll ask me about some "rules and laws" or something. Here's hoping I can pretend to have some personality and nounce about me for an entire hour or so. Oh, and can blag about those "law" things an' all.

I'm shitting my pants, figuratively speaking, but that'll soon turn into literally speaking tomorrow. Restless night, here I come!

The only question about the Solicitors Accounts Rules, which i'd been focusing my prep on, was "You are familiar with the accounts rules, aren't you?"

AND EVEN THEN I could not have given a less convincing 'yes.' I only needed to say yes and I couldn't even pull that off.

Oh hell I don't want to talk about it. :(

I'll be back in the Nay thread in about a week.

I bet you came across better than you thought.

When I go feedback from my 'interview for your own fucking job' yesterday. I thought I did ok but I actually scored really highly. All 3's and 4's, with 4's being the highest you could score.

Yes. I have to go and see the solicitor again, and then giev him all my money, and then try and sort out completion sdate for three weeks from now, as that will mean I won't have to spend a fortnight eating nothing but beans. Then Trooepr can run me up some curtains, but I won't have broadband. then I need tog et a transit van and bring two motorbikes up, along with the contents of a garage and a loft. And mrsA wants new sofas from this seemingly unlimited pile of cash she seems to think we have. AND I'm bannorized from a bedroom at home for some reason. MrsA's father is shitting bricks, as last time we moved, he heloed and MrsA hit him with his own car, and I used a bookcase to push him down a flight of stairs. About a week after he'd been seen in hospital for heart problems.

EDIT: AND I want to move again inside of two and a half years.

Jammy fuck. Japan apparently look at the ONS stats and give us the average. Which was 1.5% last year. Yeah, brilliant.

I got approximately 25% last year, but sadly that was down to me finishing my apprenticeship and the wage scale move that comes with it, plus the addition of a shift allowance. I am fairly certain I'm not going to get anything like that this year :p

I don't remember writing this, but an awful lot of it seems familiar (apart from the stuff about MrsA's father, and a couple of other bits, I think it might have been written by me in the near future).

Brain scan revealed I'm not dying!

That's nice to know.

Though apparently at some point in the past I had a teeny tiny stroke, as there's a knacked blood vessel in my brain, but it's nothing to be concerned about.
