Good afternoon and welcome to BeeXWeeX on the
second day of the first test against New Zealand*, following a
knight to forget in Italy (yes, yes, I know).
And some bloke gets past it.
It's a normal day up here in Bradford, the
sky is the usual happy gray and few people are smiling. I’m at work, busying myself away so, once again, this'll be mainly my writing things down that have been sent to me. I had the poorlies on Monday and Tuesday, so spent the day recovering and some afternoons playing the excellent Sleeping Dogs. This is like a refined version of GTA without any of the annoying stuff that made GTA rubbish in comparison. The missions are varied and fun, and you can bomb around Hong Kong if you wish, helping people out by throwing drunks in front of buses, chasing down thieves and beating up drug dealers. Alternatively, you can find statues and then learn new ways to beat people up. After you learn to break people's legs (I winced the first time) it becomes a truly mentally violent game as your role as an undercover policeman starts to disappear. You'll take umbrage at many things. Man shouts at you in the street? Break his legs, chuck him in the boot of the car and drive the car into the harbour. The last thing you hear before you jump out of the car as it zooms towards the edge of the quay is a muffled thump and a quiet "let me out". Then a splash and silence. For £15 (ASDA, or
possibly less it is simply superb. Other exciting news in the Life of MaliA is that I'm closer to moving house so won't have to put up with the quad biking people of no apparent income that live down the road much more.
