I'm not sure how I would feel if that was me. Clearly, I hadn't done it and I'd be happy with my innocence, but it's a matter of proving it to the idiots that frequent the internet.

I'm really sorry, but I don't like the connotations of that phrase "in this day and age" as if having your face improperly plastered all over the internet and newspapers as having caused attrocities in an international news story, shouldn't have some form of redress because, well, people sue too much or that the publishers of negligent or damaging news stories shouldn't be brought to task.

Bizarre celebrations in Boston - I can understand the relief at the two guys being dead and caught (respectively), but the "YOU ESS AY" stuff is a bit, well, weird.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I get that they probably didn't feel safe until they were neutralised, but the way they were celebrating you'd think that the guys were systematically going from house to house murdering people or something.

It was all a bit "our team beat your team", really. I'm surprised there weren't any cookouts.

The whole neighbourhood out in the street honking "USA USA" wasn't really something I can relate to, I also found it weird and maybe even a touch... 'off'. I have to wonder if they even consider that behaviour like that may not be particularly endearing to the rest of the world, or if they simply don't care.

I can understand that curiosity would bring some onlookers out, but there were young kids out there lining the roads as the police van drove by. For me it almost had a whiff of a captive being paraded through the streets... Don't get me wrong, the bombings are despicable acts and I'm glad they got the guy and of course it would be a relief, but a celebrating braying mob troubles me.

I think there's pretty much 0% chance that this guy will receive a fair trial.

Yeah, this is certainly thought-provoking, but there are obvious things to consider:

1) That these photos being provided as 'evidence' to support the claims are not faked or modified themselves.
2) Whether what they guy says about trauma, blood loss etc. are true.

I would like a source for the images, for them to be independently evaluated, and for someone who isn't an internet crackpot to weigh in on the medical aspects of the claims.

The flipside here being if it is all faked, what is the motivation? Such a set-up would require a ridiculous amount of preparation weighed against a massive risk of being exposed due to the sheer number of members of the public with their own recording devices, collecting evidence. And then, to what end? To give the American public something to rally behind, and reiterate that there's still a war on terror to be fought?

If you read the comments, there is a good post from a guy who seems to be legit in his experience of EMT work with IEDs, who states that it is all as expected for that sort of incident. Plus a few posts from people who state that they knew the injured guy in question and he really did have legs last week.

Obviously, these posts are all government spies and trolls who can't be trusted. WAKE UP PEOPLE!
