What about the vastly larger group of people who do try to 'better themselves', but still end up poor?

The amount of welfare given to people in employment is incredibly high (by contrast, 3% of welfare is JSA), mainly because companies have raced to the bottom and jobs no longer pay enough to live on.

Pensions makes up the bulk of it, doesn't it? 46%, or something.

Something along those lines, and unless something changes radically, then that will keep on increasing.

Citizens' Income. That's the only solution.

And sort out the horrifically bad inequality of opportunity in the UK. It's like we're heading back to a feudalistic caste system.

We need to take Argentina.

It's what she would have wanted.

And think of all the corned beef!

The Argentinian president should have been invited to the funeral, just for the hell of it.
