I am in mourning. See sig.

I was watching the games in the US, and I think the WhalerCanes are a bit too playoff savvy for Sid the Kid. Plus Cam Ward is probably the top money goalie left - 4-0 in Game 7s, and never lost a playoff series.

Plus Carolina have won their last seven series where they lost the first game.

Man, my predictions have been way off.

Penguins have to figure out how to play on the road like they do at home. They have been awesome in the Igloo and woeful away from it. Tyler Kennedys goal in Game 4 was just beautiful.

Edit: Just checked my playoff pool standings - I'm dead last!

And I've won the Claude Cup* in the Bruins Playoff Pool.

My prize is a copy of MVP - Most Valuable Primate (on VHS) and a 3.53 ounce butterscotch flavour "Angry Scotsman Gummy Haggis"

Image

(The Claude Cup is named after Claude Lemieux, which is kind of like saying "well done, you've won the Joey Barton Trophy" Awarded to the person who came absolute dead last in the prediction pool.)

Who to support? I've been a Bruins fan for twenty years, and I'm gorram terrified about tonight. (I follow the Bruins as closely as I do Burnley FC, so I'm not part-time supporters with a passing interest.)

I think the Canucks will take Game 7 - which disappoints me. They are such a horrible team of divers and fakers - I know the Bs aren't whiter than white, but Vancouver have been a bunch of cowards in this series, especially when it comes to the rough stuff.

And more importantly, I know Canada wants to win the Cup for the first time in a long time, but fuck me the Canucks fans are such fucking whiners. I don't know whether it is something in the Canadian psyche (Montreal are the same) but the amount of bleating and paranoia coming from the West Coast has been astonishing. Some fans even wanted to claim that this hit

was not late, not dangerous and all Hortons own fault. One even claimed he was faking it.

So yeah, I want to win this one badly. I don't think we will, though.

I think home advantage will be enough. Luongo is a choker on the road.

Maybe the Bruins have to sit back and soak up pressure for the first period to take the crowd out of it - but they are not good at that.

At least ice hockey fans aren't hooligans, like football fans over here.

Oh wait.

Black thing, few inches in diameter. Should be easy to spot against a white background.

You'd think. Unfortunately part of the game is to hit it very, very hard.

I watched the Stanley Cup that the Colorado Avalanche won against er... New Jersey Devils or someone.

It was entertaining.

I know this isn't strictly NHL news, but this is pretty tragic:
