Did someone say Telethon?

Warning, contains "CILLA".

Gordon Kaye looks like he's wishing that plank had finished him off so he wouldn't have to stand next to Cilla singing on Live TV.

[edit] There's something quite sad about how they cut around the country to show the various large TV studio facilities the various ITV companies that have now all closed.

Its Grasshopper studios - if you've liked the feel of their previous games you'll probably like it

I had a love hate relationship with Shadows of the Damned.

They'd all gone from The ASDAS anyway.

Just heard my sister's friend's 1-year-old son had a bad seizure yesterday, and died on the ambulance, but was resuscitated and is now being closely monitored in hospital. Terrifying... :(

They had a year to not care about it, which means it wasn't really closed last year at all.

If you'd told me in 1988 that on the 10th day of 2013 there would be a new Amstrad CPC game out, I would have laughed at you.

Also on MSX and Speccy as well. Those versions came out last year though.

You don't need any qualifications to write diet books do you? I intend to write the masterpiece "Reikki and the tau of weight loss" which'll earn me millions, and also weed out the idiots once we get to the more, um, speicalised, bits of teh diet.

No, but an online doctorate purchased for a tenner is often considered a good marketing trick.

Actually knowing anything about food and the metabolism would in fact appear to be a barrier to writing diet books rather than anything else.

I'm going to draw some unicorns in it, as people like things like that. I went to a bookshop in Buxton and it had lots of books about angles in it.

Right, I've planned it out. Each chapter will be probably about 4 pages long berating people for being a bit tubby and then I'll put a picture of a unicorn on the last page as people like unicorns and then they will read the next chapter as they will feel better because unicorns. I only need to write about 3 chapters as anyone buying a diet book written by me called "Reikki and the tau of dieting" probably won't read any further than that so I'll jsut use lorem ipsum text and the odd boxout saying something "inspirational" and some more pictures of unicorns and then roll about in my big pile of cash. I'll make at least £60 fro it, as you will all feel obliged to buy a copy. Suckers.

Ha! Superb!

I do recall however, that there were experiments done where they trained nematode worms to go around a maze to find food. When they learnt the maze, they were crushed up and fed to their friends who, it was thought, might learnt the maze quicker. I can't recall the outcome.

This should be the cover of the book itself: extremely mild NSFW link, with the caption "THIS COULD BE YOU!"

Though the unfortunate positioning of the unicorn's head looks like he's sucking her boob.

Best wishes and positive vibes being sent to all.

Cheers, folks. Sister just called again; he's doing fine at the moment. Turns out it was a reaction to whatever they gave him to stop him from fitting that did it. The ambulance folks were mortified. :(

Poor little one. It's things like this that make me grateful Zioette doesn't have any problems like that - I can't imagine how awfuly that experience there must've been for your sister.

Once you publish your book, you'll be able to buy all the suspension forks you could wish for!

Can't get any fresh air into my room because one of my neighbours has apparently taken up smoking weed in their garden all day, every day. I can't see who it is from here, though, so I can't even ask them to piss off indoors. Or give me any.

I have a cunning plan, however. It involves a big bag of crisps and a box propped up with a stick.
