In that case I had my very own Christmas special yesterday as they were the only two who turned up for Forza.

I went to the drawer in the office where the rest are, and people have wrapped them up! What madeness is this! I've no idea where I'm going to find wrapping paper by lunchtime....

I've got to the point now where people don't even ask me to be in collections or secret Santas.

Someone made the mistake of asking me for some money for the birthday of someone I don't like. I went off on one saying that if I contributed to their collection then they'd be taking presents off my daughter and would their conscience be able to live with that?

Team Christmas party this afternoon/evening. That will be a welcome end to the Christmas party season - I need a rest.

We have our annual Christmas "party" this lunchtime (there is a night out too, this is another thing). We stand around for an hour in a common room exchanging rubbish gifts, drinking plastic glasses of warm diet coke and enjoying a feast of supermarket sandwiches and other assorted shittery. I don't mind spending time with colleagues in a social context but only if I can get shifaced. This event feels like about as comfortable for me as tooth extraction.

That's the only good thing about my work place. Because no one likes each other, there's no forced social interactions.

Saying that, last year they had a buffet for someones birthday. I remember it well because I went to sit in my car.

I am eating the xmas party food now! YEAH!
