The latest Horus Heresy novella Brotherhood of the Storm is also available for this week only. Again, the other novellas go for stupid money on eBay now due to their limitednessness.

Tempted to take some of my Black Library books in to the local GW store and "get my first miniature free!" on the new chaos range. I've never even heard of anyone taking that up, so they've probably got a scabby box of old pre-painted by the storeteam minis under the counter or something.

Can we get a side profile shot of your head next Zardoz? Not fully side-on though. At an angle. Looking to your left ideally.

Angron's available now from Forgeworld. Hopefully this will mean the GamesDay attendee scalpers will disappear from eBay.

While spending 26 hours awake with severe stomach pains has its drawbacks, a positive is that I've been feverishly thinking of a Sim City-esque game but building your own colony in the WhuckKuckFoowahTeeKay universe. Building a defense force, hive cities, resource gathering while paying the Imperial tithe. Or you could allow your populace to succumb to chaos/xenos and see if you can fend off the Inquisition. Mmm. *nods* Imaginineatantion,nm/.

You've read Flight of the Eisenstein right? Typhus is also in that last Horus short story collection.

Compy version of Talisman to be released, from the gameplay video it looks like a straight Cardboard to Pixel conversion...looks nice.

I'd ehard thigns about the game nad looked at it in the board game shop, but didn't want to spend £50 on a game MrsA probably wouldn't like.

To be honest Talisman can be a slog (especially with the expansions) but a compy version sounds just the ticket.

I must say that Phalanx has been a cracking read so far. It's got action and intrigue all over the place and even has absorbing courtroom drama bits! I'm only a quarter of the way through too.*

Ta Dimrill.

Phalanx is the... um... fifth or sixth in the series. It's Ben's swansong for them after leaving them dormant for several years. Some good Nurgley stuff in the second or third book. Nice idea for a daemonprince.

You're not going to be ruined by it. It's a stonking actiony read. The characters may be a bit superficial to you, as they've been established over the previous 2000 pages of novels. If you're enjoying it so far, carry on.

Also make sure you have a stab at Daemon World by Mr Counter. Stand-alone novel that's very different to any other 40k book that I've read.

You can buy the ebook from Black Library. It's a bit cack that they use the same tactics on their books as they do with the miniatures.

Controlling the source. You can't buy the ebooks from anyone else than the Black Library's website resulting in artificially high prices and never a sale or discount in sight.
