if was a 3rd party selling through amazon, they might have messed up the postage (as apposed to amazon themselves, who will surely be billed directly without having to put stamps on)

It's either Amazon, or Old Man Afterthought has done his usual thing of "it's got a fucking stamp on it", as he holds his ground against the 'large envelope' charges like Norfolk against progress.

EDIT: Yes, it would have been him, as I know he's posted something recently.

The Queen and Philip went to Bromley on Tuesday (shopping, I assume). There was a story in the Metro today about Philip commenting to one of the armed police about a pretty bystander in a dress with a zip up the front, "I'd get arrested if I unzipped that".

Prince Philip is ace. I still giggle over his "I'm not a bunny hugger" comment.

Zimmerman trial could get a bit tense. It seems that my first thoughts about it were completely wrong, thought gathered from the reporting I'd read.

Quote:
The report includes a number of witness statements, including one from a resident who said she saw two men chasing each other, followed by a fistfight. Then she heard a gunshot.

Another resident told police he saw "the black male mounted on the white or Hispanic male and throwing punches 'MMA (mixed martial arts) style'".

The resident said he shouted to the struggling pair that he was going to call the police, before he heard the "pop" of a gunshot.

Another resident is quoted by police as saying: "I opened door and saw a guy on the ground getting hit by another man on top of him… (guy getting hit on ground was wearing red [an apparent reference to Mr Zimmerman] calling out for help)".

Don't worry about it, we've had snow twice this month. It's actually early March, the calendars are playing a practical joke on us all.

Interesting and not entirely unexpected that there was going to be more to it
However, it's unlike the media to only report on the elements that would knowingly incite people, usually they are completely fair to all involved and only report the facts...

Heh, the sun does lull me into a false sense of summeryness, with it being May n'all that. Couple of weekends ago, I took one of the boys out for lunch and ice-cream; looked outside, the sun was shining and it looked lovely out. So I put a nice summer dress on, stepped outside and: holy fuck, it's freezing! 9 degrees. In the middle of day, in May.

This morning, I tried to get tickets for Blur at the Wolverhampton Civic hall in August.

I failed...

I don't think I've ever managed to get tickets for a big gig online. It's so frustrating. How do people do it? Is it just luck?

I can't think of one off the top of my head... mass produced shit beer that's cool because it's so "counterculture". Maybe some variant of Carling?

I think Brewdog fit the bill quite well there. Look at the wesbite. It's almost as bad as Gamestation's.

Brewdog make good beer, though, and it's fairly expensive. The hipsters drink the white trash cheap stuff to look cool.

I dunno, Brewdog appeals mostly to beer geeks and there may well be a crossover to yer hipster demographic but it's not directly comparable to the American thing where they purposely choose horrible shite just so they can drink it ironically (while constantly pretending that it's not really ironic and they genuinely think it tastes good of course).

Possibly, but it's real ale twattery for hipsters. Look at their image.

Remember the Ridge Racer DLC code that didn’t work? No?

Well, I bought Ridge Racer. It was new and the DLC code didn’t work with it. Now you’re up to date...

Anyway, I emailed Namco and they’ve sent me codes for all the DLC packs that’s available for it totalling 720 points. That was nice of them.. although, the Pacman skin that I wanted wasn’t in there. Bugger.
