I've been out of the loop with this. I've seen the word "Kony" being used in the typical shit meme things without wanting or bothering to find out what it was about. Until about 6 hours ago this is.

Anyway, you all probably know about Ugandan terrorist nasty man Mr Kony and all that with the "documentary" made by Invisible Children about it going viral with over 126million views and all that.

Earlier today founder of IC and maker of the documentary Jason Russell was detained in San Diego apparently running around in his pants wanking at traffic. "suffering from exhaustion, dehydration, and malnutrition" also. Sounds like not a well man and all speed to his recovery.

@Glinner just posted on Twitter this link from Boing Boing detailing a quite... disturbing link to Russell's erm... oddness? Vanity muscial theatre? What?

Weirdly I've just watched Machine Gun Preacher which is a pretty decent film peripherally based around the LRA and Kony. Worth a watch if the general humanitarian situation interests you more than the 'lol' of a viral internet video.

I'm not sure there's a massive amount to discuss, is there? Being an African warlord with an army of child soldiers makes you an unmistakeably bad person. Raising awareness of such is a good thing, although it's a shame that the narrative has shifted from Kony to the guy who created the video who has now had something of a meltdown (or was always unhinged, but unhinged and unheard of) and run around showing his willy to people.
