A quick review of twitter also suggests that he only put it up, and tweeted her, when she objected to it being someone else's avatar.

Mensch has lost it. I used to see her as a hate-shag figure, but now she's just the idiot who got torn a new one by Hislop and Merton on HIGNFY. I'd rather shag Limmy now, though I'd draw the line at Rev. Stu and so would he.

Does Twitter become more readable when you actually sign up to it? Presumably catching fragments of thought from the latest bit backwards is not how it's done...

I use mobile.twitter.com/username to view tweets, and I disable javascript. It actually loads.

I've wondered this too. Whenever I look at Twitter (often from clicking through a link posted on a forum) I am left wondering how to make sense of the jumble, and if I really care enough to try. And about three seconds later, the window gets closed.

I think if I were to give it time and try to use it 'properly' to see what my friends are up to, and let them know what I am doing it might seem better. Jumping in halfway through a ... 'tweetversation' ... between two people I don't even know probably isn't the best way to learn it.

I sincerely hope the creator of the avatar is charging him two quid a month to use it...

Also: When I was in primary school, I deliberately annoyed the girls I really, really liked, so maybe Stu's in love...

I believe (it's always difficult to tell on twitter when you don't actually read in real time) that the original guy took heed of her complaint, apologised, and removed it. At which put Stu put it up himself.
