It is Day Two, and everyone wakes, before going to their daily meeting in the Captain's Ready Room.

But oh no! On the way there they find a dead body in the Turbolift! It has been shot in the back with a phaser, set to KILLIFY! It's Goddess Jasmine!

She has on her person some scientific documents and a microscope.

Goddess Jasmine was a Civilian.

Mourning the death, the crew trudge to the Ready Room. Strangely, in it, on the table, is a Newton's cradle, clicking and a-clacking away. The material making up the balls looks odd, and a quick tricorder scan reveals that... OH NO! It's made up of the extremely condensed DNA of Alarm!

There is also a note.

Here is Alarm. I found him boring.
Perhaps he will provide more amusement like this.

It gets worse. When a murmur goes around asking for the Captain to remove the offending item... he doesn't respond.

Because Alarm was Captain Jean-Luc Picard.

Poor alarm - however he didnt really take part yesterday - i'm more unhappy that GJ is gone.

And I agree with Gospvg's last post yesterday - we may have got Kalmar to post something before the day ended :-(

We also need to remember that there is now probably 2 borg out there and that they will keep recruiting each night

Oh and another reason for asking people to post , yesterday alarm posted twice , one was "you've got red on you" , the other was "vote kalmar" thats it , no interaction with anyone else which suggests that Q's kill was simply a lucky hit.

GJ's posts were (to paraphrase)

"We should vote and not let things time out but we should wait for some people to talk"
"People need to talk"
"I think Q could be a fun character"
"I think we should go for someone who's not contributing like Kalmar"
"Can someone give me a vote update"
"I'll be away for a while but will check in later"

I wonder if the "Q could be fun" was what caused her to be targeted ? (someone else seeing that as a role claim)

Oh noes :(( Not the Captain :( I hope No.2 is up to the job but he's pretty fit if nothing else, I definitely prefer him with a beard.

Right, I'm going to get some food and possibly a drink. It's not too early in the 'day' for drink is it? That's the thing about space, every time I look out and see stars it feels like beer o'clock.

Still not much to go on at this rate. Just 2 stabs in the dark I'd assume. And also the away team will have discovered someone is not a baddie? If I've read the rules correctly. We're gonna have to flush out the Borg soon however before they take over the whole ship! Or we might get lucky and the Borg might have been roleblocked or the romulans might get them.. we don't know! I'm unsure on who to go for so far so I'll start with [vote:bobbyaro] because I don't trust him.

While I agree that HoE is being quiet, I would have thought that if he were a Romulan, his fellows would be advising him to post at least once. That makes me think he is more likely an innocent with no mates.
I was most puzzled by what looked like a bit of a bandwagon style rush towards the end of yesterday though...

Its possible , however the negative side would be that the Borg assimulated a Romulan (so they know the other Romulans) or a Bridge Officer (so they know the other Starfleet power roles).

Again possible however we've only killed one 'quiet' person its not as if we're all voting for HOE right now- and if doing that makes them talk then good , because the more they interact the more likely it is they will make a mistake , or will have a discussion with someone else that will give us information after the next death.

Not the best of starts!

I hope Commander Riker is up to the job!

I think maybe there is something to the fact that the baddies won't be hiding in silence, so although it might be easy to knock off the quiet ones, it might actually lead to a baddie win.

And people overly pushing for elimination of the silent types, might be doing it because they have an agenda.

I don't feel any the wiser at the moment, I don't think we should be targetting HoE at the moment, (and I'm not sure who we should be targetting) but it would be nice if he could speak up!

Now I have a habit of over analysing death descriptions, but does the fact that GJ was killed by a phaser strike anyone else as odd? Romulans use disrupters. Although, if they're hiding amongst the crew, they'd be using Starfleet weapons... hmmm.

I don't think we have much to go on unfortunately, as we have no confirmed baddies to then analyse their posts, so today will be as much a pot luck day as yesterday.
However, I am still of the opinion that we have to airlock someone rather than timeout, but only have gut feel to go on.

I'm going to go back and think about all the conversations that happened yesterday and see who pings my baddie radar the most, back in a bit.

Wesley has to get 5 right and can only guess 3 per night, so couldn't have done it on night one.

So, after all that, and a little nap in my quarters. My pure gut-feel FoS is pointing at, DavPaz, Malc and Craster at the moment.
No particular reason at all to be honest, they just look shifty.

It might help if you could point to things that make them seem shifty to you - gut feeling is fine but why should *i* act on your gut feeling ?

At the end of yesterday the main people I were considering to be bad were Alarm and Mr Dom - mainly for posting something but not really taking part , Alarm has already been proved 'good' and Mr Dom has some external influences which may make things more difficult to push for an discussion with him.

Not now but I do think we do need to come back to HOE at some time , because if we simply ignore them then they could be a great recruit for the Borg - its a 'free' person who if they really are not taking part could help swing numbers (not for this time but i think having a day run over 24 hours and *no* posts from a player unless they have announced some special circumstances first should be a modkill)

Comment the second. As EBG, states; three crew down ... three ... crew ... down. Three crew ... down. Except it isn't three crew down, it is one crew and two civilians. As a civilian, I know I am not a member of the crew. I am fairly certain the crew know the civilians aren't members. Who might not know who is crew and who isn't? Someone new on board? Someone who hasn't had time to acquaint themselves with the duty roster? Someone who is a Romulan?

My reasoning for Malc is that he was been saying a fair amount at the start, but not really being interacted with. I think the baddies would be less likely to interact with each other for fear of being seen together, so posting without interaction with others is a slight smell. The only person he really interacted with was you...
Then he went quiet, until it looked like weight was started to come towards a Kalmar vote, at which point he switched votes and the bandwagon got going. I think it is very likely that the Romulans had a sigificant number of them voting for Kalmar yesterday, so looking at all those people is a good bet for today.

Nothing concrete, just a pattern that stood out when I thought back to the conversations we all had yesterday, and I have nothing better to go on.
