Not a sitcom, but I watched the new episode of Lee Nelson's Well Good Show recently. I thought it might be worth a shot, as they'd commissioned a second series.

How wrong I was. It is embarrassingly bad. That Horne and Cordon sketch show was better, and that was terrible.

Except Miranda is ace, Wronghead.

Just the advert made my eyes kill each other.

Really? I watched one episode of it, which consisted of her falling over, cracking bad jokes and mugging at the camera.

Grim... watches it for a very wrong reason too.

Don't forget the godawful Hi-de-Hi style whole-cast dance, wave and pull ridiculous faces to the camera as the credits roll at the end of each episode. Is it still 1978?

I liked that one as well. SMBC has some surprisingly great days sometimes.

Reg Hunter said something about this as well - Batman is a conservative's wet dream. All that money and talent, and he spends his time beating up street level crime. Never goes after the white collar arseholes who the police can't touc for fear of a lawsuit.


Not Going Out is annoyingly un-funny, but not completely dreadful. Miranda is painfully dreadful. Hyperdrive was shite. My Hero was a comic miscarriage that only ever lasted more than one episode because people like Ardal o'Hanlan.

The worst sitcoms ever are either Days Like These (British That 70s Show) or Payne (American Fawlty Towers).

We forgot about Sam's Game, that god awful Davina MacCall sitcom that ITV shitcanned after 6 episodes. This is the same ITV that that allowed Watching 7 seasons. That's how bad it was

I quite liked Two Pints Of Lager - although it helped that I wanted to shag all the girls in it.

I really liked Not Going Out, I liked Lee Mack and Tim Vine making a joke out of pretty much anything.

I've not watched it all... it's... well it's sort of watchable. The acting's pretty good, but I think the problem is that both subjects are just too overdone and obvious, so none of the jokes or stylistic choices are really effective.

I dunno about offensive, to be honest. It's too obviously tongue in cheek, more like Allo Allo. Pretty sure that Family Guy has done the same thing about 450 times and got away with it, too.

So this is another change for the lousy Blu-ray release of Return of The Jedi.

I watched about 6 minutes. It's... not very good. Worse still, it's not even funny in how shit it is, it's just Shit. Bruno Shit. I want those 6 minutes back.

Thankfully I put in the criteria that it was awful but still got renewed for a second series, so it doesn't count, along with half of BBC Three's output.

Yeah, but I'm sure I've seen worse. Which admittedly isn't really a high bar, given that I've seen Green Wing.
