I'm sure I saw a league in there for fannies that can't even run around a pitch without falling over and breaking their leg. You'll be fine.

Thinking about joining a gym....I need one that starts super early though because I want to go before work so it's quiet, at least while I'm a big fat, sweating, wheezy mess anyway. As soon as I can run for more than 30mins without dying or stopping, I'll be going after work and posing, big time. :p

Found one in town that opens at 6am and has loads of classes too so I think I'll give it a go for a few months, see how it works out.

Live CSS should be all on one line. It has a smaller file size and renders a teensy bit faster.

Yeah, fuckin' polo or something. I was thinking about just asking in the local pubs - see if I can find out which ones have a team. Proper football. Kicking the shit out of each other in a muddy field on a Sunday morning in November.

Polo is more violent than football. It's full-contact and you tackle people by riding your horse into theirs, ffs!

Two reasons, it's dark at 6am and it's the Isle of Man....rain and gales are a daily occurrence. In fact, it's now practically winter and we'll get sleet from now until next May. If I had to contend with weather as well as early mornings, I definitely wouldn't do it.

Also: Outside contains hills and other people.

I meant water polo. No seriously though, I wasn't comparing the two sports, I was simply suggesting that the "ra" types who'll likely be on my course won't know anything about where I can play football because they'll be playing polo or something. You turd! Get back on holiday, any way!

You know the main thing I came away from flamingo land was that I didn't realise that the sun reader stereotype actually existed. So...many....fucking...morons....

top three and oh dear god do I wish I was making this up.

3: The guy who let his 18 month old child climb up dangerous twisting metal slide steps, while going to his mates "it's ok he does this all the time at home" At least 50 adults are in this area and say nothing. Kid freaks out at the top, I go over and hover under him. The father continues sipping his can of lager. Kid falls sideways and his leg gets twisted so he gets freaking hang time for a few seconds upside down from the top of the slide. I catch him still upside down with about 6 inches between his head and the bottom rung. Kid is screaming, father stubs out his fag and casually walks over, and takes him with a "thanks mate". Other adults don't even seem to register that this has happened, no gasps, nothing.

2: The chavette with a two year old. It went exactly like this:
Chav: "what are they, what are they"
kid:"..."
Chav:"tigers, say tigers"
kid: "tigers"
Chav: "that's right tigers"
Me: "excuse me"
Chav: "yes"
Me: "those are lions love"

1. Emu enclosure, Now if you know anything about emus then you know that they are vicious motherfuckers and the closest thing we have to Raptors left. They make swans and geese look like pussies.
The Emus are separated from humans with a wire mesh fence, there is a group of people and a older fat chav with a 16 month old child, there are two emus about 3ft away from the toddler. What is the woman doing? Yes that's right, allowing the child to put it's hand through the fence and bang rattle and shake it . The Emus are looking pissed and one of them is fucking hissing. Group of people are looking at her like "What The Fuck" and saying nothing, me being me ran over shouting at her to get him away from the fence, woman looked like she was going to punch me, group of people started saying stuff like "I was just thinking they bite don't they" woman picks up kid and walks off with a face like thunder.

Note please: I'm not the most confrontational of people in the world and think you should raise your child your way, but tbh I don't think I've got room in my head for memories like toddlers with gaping head wounds or seeing them have their hands torn off by giant birds.

So where are you moving then?

I've just found out that the pub literally over the green from our new place is supposed to be awesome. Perfect crawling home distance. There's also an independent butcher and greengrocer in the next street! All I need now is a Sunday league football team to play for and my life is complete.

Has anyone ever had any experience with moving to a new town and getting involved with sports teams/similar? I mean, if you're working somewhere, I imagine it'd be straightforward to get involved through a colleague, but I have a feeling a bunch of legal practice course nobjockeys from all over the country aren't going to be any the wiser as to how I can continue playing football regularly.

My mum talking to my flowery hippy aunt & uncle when their (incredibly spoiled punk) kid was shoving his hand through our garden fence and farting about.

"Get him away from there! Jesus, what are you doing?"

"We like to let him find his own boundaries."

"Okay, well, let me know how that goes when the psychotic pit bull on the other side of the fence sees him."

They then yanked him out of there pretty sharpish.

The kid was a hateful little shit for many years, though oddly, he did a massive U-turn in his late teens and is now a top bloke. Possibly because they had another kid and he was no longer the centre of the universe, but who can say.

Well done, by the way.

No it shouldn't. I want it looking like a warehouse. So when it's finished and I fill it with mini figs, it'll look like they are operating it!

Test build with a front mock up:
Image

Original design, created with MLCad & LDRAW (ignore the random colours, light bricks are easier to design with.):

Front.
Image

Rear.
Image

I originally wanted the side panel to be all transparent blocks, so you could see the figs at work, but it was decided that it wouldn't be clear enough to see through. Besides which, transparent blocks are pretty rare, thus expensive, especially considering how many I would need. I'm gonna use a sheet of perspex for the side panel instead.

Regarding heat and airflow, it's gonna have five fans minimum and I can always make room for more and if it's needed, I can add in hard drive coolers.

Also, I really, really want to build this into the front.

You're going to need to build it a little bigger, and then fit windows in it, and little lego men sat at tables in their own little rooms that they've made inside your PC tower, as if they were Borrowers. But yes, pretty cool mate.

I remember your Lego Printer Mimi, it was awesome! :)

Have you heard of / seen Fitocracy flis? It seems like a cool little gamey / leveling type exercise tracker to help motivate you and track your exercise. I'm level 4 already! I have some invites free if it tickles your fancy.

PM on it's way!

It's a bit Beta-y at the moment, but they're apparently making it much more "gamey" over the next few weeks. Quests and PvP Battles and challenges and league tables and so on.

Oxford has really dumbed down its curriculum, hasn't it?

Colour me not even slightly surprised by that. :p

How's the prospect of The North going, Mali? When do you make the big move? It's all very exciting!
