I have a terrine settling in the fridge. I really want to eat it, but it needs to rest for another day. Now whatever I have for lunch will be totally unsatisfying because I want to eat my terrine.

I'm probably not the only one who's going to read that as 'terrapin'.

In a time of HUMAN BETRAYAL, terrine was an escape for the people of Crastestan.

I did make it yesterday.

Also, I caved, not unexpectedly.

Check out this creepy-ass shit:

http://www.officialdavina.com/home

Davina, laughing silently, on a loop. What's making her laugh? Where is she? Why is it all white? Is she laughing at the massive scam? The one where she convinced someone somewhere that she was talented and worthy of riches and fame? Is she laughing at me for visiting her site? Is she laughing at myp?

edit: I've just realised it's random, on refresh I have "Davina popping bubbles in silence". Next to her autograph a video will play on a loop, keep refreshing until you get the one where she's manically laughing. I'm full of fail today. :'(

Nevermind Wogan's..., it is a very creepy video.

Do you think that the sinisterly evil McCall is trying to be the next Hypnotoad? Do you think that'll be the next 'refresh'?

I've never heard of terrine as a food, but the word rang a bell for some reason. Turns out that they were some of the enemies in Buck Rogers. Not sure if having one settling in your fridge would be desirable though.

Checked my bank balance this morning and it wasn't as horrific as I was expecting. So looks like todays plan can go ahead. We are going to the Natural History Museum where I have a tiny bit of hope that the queues for the dinosaurs might be bearable enough for me to wait in them. I am also thinking about paying to see the exhibition about the creatures of the deep. Then we are going back to the sight of my Cuba Puma disaster (I think it's called Carnaby Street?) because I am getting a pair of David & Goliath jammies. :metul:

Last night we decided to order Chinese to the flat since we got back at about 9pm and were very drunk after a day at the Carnival. We choose a Chinese near by based on the fact it was also a restaurant and hoped that was an indicator of quality. It wasn't :(
It was the worst Chinese ever and a total let down, I don't think any of us really ate any of it. Might have to go somewhere lovely tonight to make up for it, like a lovely little restaurant. Or Nandos.

Still not seen Amy Winehouse slumped over a bollard!

I just had to tell the neighbours kids off for climbing on their garage roof and daring to put a foot on mine.

I hate living next door to scrubbers.

I'm thinking a line of barbwire will probably put them off.. but then I might get in trouble... best stick with anti vandal paint then.

I did a cat cam. It was a few years ago and the camera now looks absurdly chunky, but never mind. Must try it again on my largest cat.

In other cat / cam related news I put a security light and cheap little motion-detecting camera on the back of my House That Got Robbed, mainly as a deterrant. I checked the SD card yesterday and found that, pleasingly, there were no pictures of Scum lurking around, but every night it captures neighbourhood cats which seem to use the garden as a thoroughfare. There's a good 4 or 5 different cats go past each night.

Perhaps I should open a restaurant.

One of the guys I work with, plus a couple more I know through work, are rowing a Viking Longboat around our little isle. It's going to take them an estimated 27hrs, there are 13 of them on board and will be rowing for about 18hrs each. The mentals. It started as one of those great ideas in the pub and snowballed, to everyones surprise, not least those rowing as they only started training within the last 8 or so weeks.

I'd say it was taken slightly out of focus on purpose. Adds an certain element of excitement to the shot.

Definitely an accident, £10 is too bargainous for it to be intentional. Oh, lovely Michael Landon, who was not a midget.

Craig and I went for lunch at my friend's mother's house once (friend was absent, mind) and somehow we started talking about Michael Landon. Anne (friend's mum) was saying how handsome he was and that it was such a shame that he was a (dead) midget.

 :?:

She sad she had seen a program where they said he was a midget and was actually smaller than teh kids and so had to use some special camera angle trickery and boxes to stand on so he appeared tall.

I have still no idea where she got this notion from.

I think our weatherman is depressed. Last week the weather was pretty bad and he loved it, 'Strong chance of widespread heavy rain. Poor visability with patches of hill fog to high ground. Weather warning: Strong to gale force winds.' This week, despite the glorious weather we're currently enjoying, he can barely stretch to 'Fair. Good visability' and that's as descriptive as it gets. He could be an emo I suppose. Maybe his wife left him. I'm going to ring the met office and see if he needs a hug and some chocolate.

I've put on 10lbs in the last 5 weeks. Pretty impressive eh? It's down to a combination of various things, but mostly because I'm a fatty and will eat anything to weak to fight me off. You know how it is, you lose a bit of weight so you feel like you might get away with a swim suit, then you eat loads 'because you're on holiday' and then, when you get back, you continue binging because you no longer have a need to get in swim suit....I've been going through the 3 stages of clothing. 1. Wow, so this is how these jeans are supposed to fit. 2. Hmmm, I'll just wear a baggier t-shirt over the top, I can still get away with it. 3. OMG NOTHING FITS ME! HOW DID THIS HAPPEN! *whilst munching on a kingsize Snickers* And so the diet begins.

It's because he was in fact a midget. The entire central cast were. The producers of the show were being over-literal with the title you see, which is why you got those episodes where the evil ranchers reach over and pick Michael up, with their big hands coming in right of frame 'Land of the Giants' style, and Michael has to fight them off with a pin for a sword.

He's depressed because he knows that American weather-forecasters are having all the fun with Hurricane Earl and 'cones of uncertainty' and 'eye-wall replacement cycles', where millions of viewers hang on their every word and obsessively refresh their blogs and Weather Underground.

People like me. *Cough* ?:|

I sold my Nintendo Wii about two years ago on account of it being shit. Since then, No More Heroes and Super Mario Galaxy had sequels, MadWorld, Dead Rising, New Super Mario Bros and House Of The Dead Overkill have been released and Metroid: Other M is coming out next week.

So on Sunday I went and bought another one, didn't I? It was cheap at least, most places were selling new Wii consoles for £130 over the bank holiday weekend, but I'm already not entirely sure that I've been especially sensible with this purchase.

Years ago I went into HMV and on the display of new singles they had copies of Ce Ce Peniston's Finally. I think it's pretty standard for HMV to put their labels in the top right anyway, so I suppose it wasn't deliberate, but they did all cover the 'ton' in Peniston perfectly.
