Very much enjoyed it, which surprised me.

If the full game didn't have any bosses and started me with lots of health and fully-upgraded weapons, I might get it.

Love some of the execution moves. Like the one where you lop off your opponents legs, and then swiftly decapitate him. Glorious.

I got bored and left it before the demo ended which isn't a good sign really.

Give me Viewtiful Joe any day.

cutting off their legs and then when they are standing on two stumps taking off their head

I strongly suspect, based on the earlier one I played, that it will be hard enough to make grown men cry.

Ah yes *turns on eggbox to download* interested in this since ChocoboOfDoom recommended it on Burny Pee about 2 months ago.

the camera's a bit of a nightmare and everything moves a bit too fast which meant I lost track of which ninja was mine.

seems sort of like fun though. needs to be about 20 quid cheaper and could do without Conan, Dynasty Warriors or Viking existing.

I'm more excited about the Civ Rev demo that's coming out tomorrow. Now there's a game I want.

I bought the first one and couldn't get past the guy on a horse on a bridge at the start. Too hard and not in a fun way.

Can understand it's appeal though.

Saying that though Eurogamer slated it for having "cheap difficulty" a lot of the time rather than the "bastard hard" difficulty of the first game. So buyer beware and that.

I played the first one until a helicopter shot me to fuck with annoying knock down attacks. Up until then I quite enjoyed it though.

Really didn't like this demo though. The pole thing that smashes the heads off rather than lopping them off is rather good but overall it's way way way too fast to not have some kind of zoomed at camera or something or at least some kind of intelligent camera.

I loved the first one, but never got past the electric worm boss. It was an ace, relentlessly difficult game.

IS IT??????????

I sort of liked the Xbox Ninja Gaiden, but it was very hard and scared me. I imagine the second will be similarly punishing.

I fucking love this game. It's all skill. The camera issue that has been much derided by reviewers is a total mountain out of a molehill. Use the right trigger button as your first port of call and you're away.

Seeing as this game has the word 'gay' in it, how long will it be before everyone's LIVE accounts are banned for playing it?

Perhaps I should write a game called Ninja Gaywood for the XNA stuff.

'Gaiden' doesn't contain the syllable 'gay', you n00bs.

Anyway, I played the demo of this earlier, in an insomniac daze, and I hated it. I couldn't see what the hell was going on, the camera was infuriating me, it looked horrid and all I was doing was mashing two buttons, with no real satisfaction at all.

Also, Tam got really pissed off at me for using that picture on UK:Resistance as wallpaper.

Did you notice that the subject line of this thread is "Ninja Gaywood II" and not "Ninja Gaiden II"? This is what we call a pun or play on words.

And in case you were wondering, to "patronise" means "to talk down to" :hat:

I know, I haven't slept. I was also making a rather feeble joke at the expense of people who didn't spend their entire teenage years watching stupid Japanese cartoons.

Cripes, if Meaty were around he'd be rubbing his thighs quite vigourously.

Perhaps I should MMS him. It'd only cost him about £450 to receive it whilst abroad. I'm sure he'd agree it'd be money well spent.

:this:

Even with its ham-fisted God Of War cover-band stylings, Conan was a hundred times more fun than the NGII demo.
