I bought an "Xbox 360 wireless controller for Windows" (thanks, LewieP, thanks), and it came in an all-in-one plastic moulded piece of packaging. A piece of packaging that BROKE MY HAIR SCISSORS and NEARLY CAUSED A SCREWDRIVER TO IMPALE MY HAND and SCRATCHED MY HANDS LOTS and generally WASTED MY TIME AND PISSED ME OFF.

Who the hell designs such a thing without even putting an "open here" bit on it? I can't even fathom the "proper" technique for opening these things.

BAH.

That will be all. Carry on. :hat:

Xbox and 360 accessory packaging has always been fucking lethal... I bled onto my lovely new Controller S and my 360 Chatpad.

I just opened mine.

In like 5 minutes.

Using a pair of scissors.

One of my controllers has a healthy scar from package opening.

That said, I'm more pissed off by the stupid screws that hold the controller together. (What with no longer having a screwdriver that can open said controller. How am I supposed to convert my broken 360 controller into a comfortable PS3 controller if I can't even open it?)

I agree, those modified torx screws are fucking annoying. I have a load of torx fittings, but no "non tamper" ones and I CBA buying a new driver just because they fitted a blob in the middle to stop me taking it apart (WHY??) , yet all my controller needs to work properly is a bit of a clean.

I found that one of my allen keys could open them, strangely. Sadly, said allen key has gone the way of the hippopotamus. Shame, as he had a name and everything.

Edit: To a Bobby, obviously.

What happened to the hippo?

I hate those packages as well, we had the same problem with the new Xbox controller and I always manage to cut myself. It is just to tempting to get the super sharp kitchen knives out!

A Stanley knife or boning shears are the preferred method here. But I suppose my Fein Multimaster would make light work of them as well.

Last time I checked, there was no hippo in my tool box. Same could be said for my slightly distressed allen key. (It's just a phrase I use when something goes inexplicably missing)

A less than brilliant P-A where they clearly didn't know where to go after the second panel, but I do like "boxes were too convenient. People kept getting their things out."

Yeah, everything that comes in this packaging is evil.

Thankfully one of my kitchen knives with a serrated edge cuts through them quite nicely.

Par for the course, really. One good line, and then they don't know what else to do so they descend into that pseudo-gangsta speak for the remainder of it. Usually something along the lines of 'all over that shit'.

I'll find my picture of how I open Xbox packaging and post it later.

Walliams and Lucas have made plenty of money out of Little Britain, though, so popularity/financial gain is not always a barometer of something being good.

They have made me laugh more than little britain.

But then again, little britain has the capability ofc making me anti-laugh, so the same could be said for a rock on Mars.

Is Little Britain that bad? I turned off the tv after 5 minutes but i'm not that much into British humor, so i guess it was my problem. I know many people who say that's brilliant.

From what I saw (which was thankfully brief), it seemed to be
Step 1) Come up with completely unfunny sketch
Step 2) Make it hateful
Step 3) Wait a week
Step 4) Change outfits
Step 5) Repeat sketch.
Step 6) If not end of series, Go to 3.

I'll go on record and say that S1 wasn't all that bad. By S2 they'd run out of ideas and had removed the best characters. S3 was uniformly terrible apart from Orville the duck.

My mother inexplicably loves The Boosh, and showed us two episodes (which it turns out are from the third series) to try and convince us. It was the Eels one and the Crack Fox. I think I was amused twice. Once by the Fox's mates (Dante the racist badger) and again by the sheer ludicrousness of the eels song. But the rest of the time were were boggled by it.

Series 3 is definitely not the best by any stretch - too much recycling of characters. In fact, the only episodes I really liked were the one with the doppelgangers and the Crack Fox one. The rest were shite.

The Boosh is amazing and I won't hear a word said against it.

Little Britain, though, really needs to stop existing and, preferably, have never existed in the first place.

It's amazing how it managed to drag its zany scrote through three series before crawling up its arse to die.
