Cosy Jet Sputnik
Today I caught Punzel who was using Mr Rat (her mortal enemy) as a pillow. Smart cat.

Awesome. Best cats on the planet and more fun that anything, even PCs :D
Today Smudge has decided that wallpaper tastes nice. How do you get a gippynig to stop eating your wallpaper?
Rub watermelon on it?*

*Did you Twitter about them not liking watermelon? Was it chorizo? Would you feed a gippynippngip chorizo? I am dazed and confused. rub watermelon on it?

Well that is my normal cure for anything that comes up, but I can't remember telling anyone it.

Block access.
Raise your walls above pig height.
We appear to have acquired a new pig.

O RLY?
Yeah, we're picking her up on Friday afternoon. She's an Alpaca breed.
Alpaca? You're as bad as that Jeff Minter you are.

Post pix pls.
Will do when we get her. She looks something like this:

But she's brown and black.
Looks very wooly, can you shear them & make jumpers for elves?
I could probably make a stuffed cushion for a Mimi.

You'd need really tiny knitting needles for that. Hmm...
Just realised I haven't posted a picture of The Tribe for a while, so here's my girls

I am not a pig fan, but they look very cute...
Thickett had done a poo when I picked her back down.

Aww! Scruff looks like a little ball of fluff.
She is at the moment. She's wet through on her neck where The Tribe have been grooming her. There's not been a single angry chitter yet.

Do you have to put perfume on them all for the first few days so they all smell the same to one another to stop fights?
Nope. There'll be some tussling for position in The Tribe over the next few weeks, but we've never had a fight. At the moment they're incredibly interested in the newcomers. Sprite's decided to lick and nibble Scruff all over, whereas Thickett's found a new best friend in Dolly as they're both curled up asleep together.

NO! That would damage their already quite delicate lungs.

I'm sure I read it in a book once, a long long time ago. Or something like it. Come to think of it, it might not have been guinea pigs.
A video I took of my cat ginger.

The high notes in the video is him tapping on the keys. Hope you like.
I'm getting another Bengal ! woohoooo !!

:this:

My breeder contacted me and asked if I wanted a snow marble called Dollycats Poe Poe (AKA Dolly). She just turned two and has been retired. If all goes well O should get her in about three weeks. So excited I could pee :)
Looks like a beautiful cat there, A. :)

We've just rescued a lovely little Rottie bitch; she's a real sweetheart. He she is, relaxing with our other poochie. :luv:

I love those dogs. Couldn't ever have one being that they are so immense but they are beautiful. Dolly is going to be a rescue of sorts, though I don't think she would wait long for someone else if I didn't take her :)

I'm getting her on weds. I can't wait, so excited. She eats raw chicken too because she's an F5, the closest to the ALC you can get legally in the UK :)

Please to be explaining what this means, for folks like me who don't have a clue about cats and breeding and wotnot (well I know about breeding lolz *nudge, wink*, but not cat-breeding)
I think it means it'll go around the Top Gear track quicker.

F5 means she is five generations from the Asian Leopard cat. So basically she's a 5th gen. Rapunzel is a F9 IIRC, so has some traits of the leopard cat (climbing, talking, chirping and chattering*) but is quite far removed so tends to be a lot more domestic.

The Bengals I had in the USA were F1. Basically very friendly but still very wild. These are illegal in the UK mostly down to their size (nearly two stone with claws like razor blades).

*Chirping and chattering.

Chirping is a warble like sound they make when they are curious about something. They gargle saliva in the throat and make a really odd sound lol.

Chattering -

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEEMMn80XJw

Usually followed by a tail flicker. This means they're really excited. Punzel does this at the back door every day when the birds come to feed :)
An Asian Leopard Cat is, like, a Leopard?

My cat does that weird predator clicking thing when she's sitting in the window watching birds in the garden. Fortunately she can't actually catch the birds, or anything else.
3% leopard cat, then.

An Asian Leopard cat is, well, an Asian Leopard cat :)

It's a smallish tree dwelling wild cat found in Asia lol.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kvael1XxoDg

They're very reclusive and don't really enjoy being talked to by some dumb broad.
That video's ace:

Good morning

FUCK YOU

Good morning

FUCK YOU

Good morning

Good morning Murphy

FUCK YOU

Good morning Murphy

No, seriously FUCK YOU I'm a half wild animal not a fucking pet.

Thats my favourite noise in the world. I've started making it myself when I get bored. I call it cat barking though.

Unless I'm misreading it, the Dangerous Wild Animals Act allows a hybrid of a domestic cat and first generation hybrid, so that would be F2, by your nomenclature.

Hmm are you sure?

You could well be right, but I remember my breeder telling me that she wanted an F2 Savannah and wasn't allowed.
you have to have licenses for earlier generation cats.

In terms of genetics, F and a number 1 relates to Filial Generation, where another number is the generation away from the original breeding pair.

also, not to be a nob, but just cos the cat is F5 doesnt mean it automatically eats raw meat.
You could easily feed her canned / dry etc. depends what your preference is.

I beleive my Bengal is f6 (maybe f5, cba to root out his papers).
He does the predator clicking thing, and most other Bengal traits. he doesnt jump too high though of his own accord.
he will eat raw food sometimes, but im thinking he prefers cooked stuff. Mostly he has dry food.
She can eat Royal Canin biscuits and raw chicken drumsticks. That's literally it.

It's not really because of her generation it's because she has a fussy digestive system :)

Anything else and it's severe runny bum.

What I meant to say was she will eat raw meats. My male F1 would too, but Punzel just looks at me like I'm crazy :D

EDIT : Forgot to mention I think.. I'm getting Dolly on weds coming. So excited !
