Right. Mrs Chris and I have just realised that Chris Junior Mk 2 is arriving imminently, and, whilst we've done everything else we should have, we have given absolutely no real thought to what to call the little chap.
So, I throw this open to the board. Once some decent suggestions have been rolled in, there may be a poll. The person who suggests the winning name may receive a prize (this may of course lead to voting irregularities, but hey.)
The parameters are:
(1) He's a boy, so only boy's names, right? No Lyndsays here.
(2) Nothing which is currently quite popular. Or if it is quite popular, it has to be exceptionally ace.
(3) Nothing that sounds twatty, so nothing like Tarquin.*
(4) Nothing that'll get him beaten up. I appreciate this is partially covered by (1) and (3) above, but one can't stress this enough.
(5) It has to fit with a surname beginning with L.
(6) Characters out of Greek mythology will not necessarily be looked upon favourably.
So, suggest-me-do, my pretties.
*My apologies to any Tarquins on the board, but you've got to laugh, right? How were the showers at school?

Yeah, Benjamin Lovetruncheon is a great name. You've got the 3 levels to it, Benny for when he's a nipper, Ben for his mates, and BENJAMIN!! when he's in the shit with his mom or missus. Go for that Chris!

Benjamin. Have you ever heard of an evil or rubbish Ben? No.
* * *
Hold on - I just went off to shelve some CD's, thinking my choice over, and I've just now clicked submit and found a load of posts also recommending Benjamin - making me look like a Johnny Come Latey.
Your surname isn't Lately, by the way? That would be an excellent name. Apart from engendering a fear of inadequacy, of course.
But yes, Benjamin...

We already have a Pete in the family, I'm afraid, so someone has already snagged the awesome there. Whatever else we go with we will of course be settling for second best, mate.

I still like Craster's suggestion for Mk 1: "Agamemnon".
We went with "Oliver", obviously.

We went with "Oliver", obviously. It was going to be my suggestion for Mk2, too - but you outlawed it in the rulez. Facist.
