She then pulled a second clean sheet of paper out, headed 'Coursework - Law - module B' with the same list of names. She then proceeded to fill in the percentages and grades on that sheet, with no points of reference other than the first sheet. Pretty much everyone got within 10% for Module B what they got for Module A, apart from poor Adebola who got 32% less than the very high Module A mark.

Is this what teaching has come to?

How did MaliA do?

They wanted Helo to think he was escaping and have an excuse for the cylon troopers not to get him - he was merely being coralled into the clutches of the Boomer model. Therefore they internally self-destruct on impact of rounds. That's how I read it anyway.

Hmm. Fine, but what about
ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
later in series 2 on Kobol when they're killing the cylon troopers with assault rifles that the marines on BSG couldn't kill them with a few episodes earlier? My only guess was that the cylons who boarded BSG were of some extra tough variety.

Eh? I thought they were using explosives to kill them - they can be taken down with concentrated assault weapon fire can't they, but in this particular instance I don't remember any being killed by assault weapon fire alone (and I'm going through from the start with the girls, so only saw this last week) - I think the problem on Galactica was that there were few marines around because of the area they'd sealed off and were operating in, and the fact that there was close to fuck all ammo in the vicinity either.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
In the first episode (I think. Near there anyway) Helo kills some cylons with his pistol. Other cylons get killed with regular weapons later on too. At the start of season two some stuff happens and it suddenly becomes that the cylon troopers can only be killed by special explosive rounds. For the length of that episode.

I was really upset to discover that the story about Chris Moyles being axed from Radio 1s breakfast slot was untrue.

Any chance the mods could split out the university stuff, as it's quite interesting in its own right.

Why is the Wicked Witch of the West (in the Orange adverts) trying to do her worst impression of Hugh Laurie's 'House' 'American' accent?? Does she not know 'Americans' don't say 'cinema' (or, in her 'accent', 'cinemaarrrrr')?

Except there is normally beer where the Skittles vodka is.

Even this year, when I'm not drinking, there is still a bottle of Sambuca in the fridge (and one in the freezer) at all times.

Also: Death to people that pronounce it "zambuca".

How Email Filters Work to Your Advantage, #1 in a series of 1.

Ha! I just got a message bounced by a client's email system for inappropriate content. I scratched my head over that, as I was just forwarding some info a colleague had put together for me. I then realised the email trail had in it an email from me to said colleague saying "Can you do X and Y as an arse covering exercise". Thank goodness that didn't get through...
