Oh man. The bit where he was giving the reading at a Discworld convention and simply couldn't read was just... horrible. Real lump-in-the-throat moment. The poor, poor guy.

It was very difficult to watch. I've met him twice at booksignings and he's such an enormous talent, and such a lovely bloke... Bah.

Come to think of it, the only other famous author I've met was David Gemmell and he's dead now. Perhaps it's me. Hmm. When's Dan Brown's next signing?

I've got about books signed and I've met him once. When I was very ill in hospital my friend got me 'The Amazing Maurice and his educated Rodents' and he signed it saying 'To Kat SQUEAK Love Terry Pratchett'

I love him :(

Don't think I can watch it. :'(

I met Pratchett at a signing at Warwick Uni, he accused me of being a goth, which was amusing at the time as I'm the most unlike-goth person you'd ever meet. It may however have been my Sandman t-shirt. Lovely chap though.

Why does the specialist 10 minutes in appear to be the doctor from Jam?

MrsA found it very sad. She's got signed books by him as well, or something.

Or had, until I used them as kindling due to the snow.

Snap - i'll be Download ....finding someone who recorded it so i can borrow to watch.

I've met Sir Pterry a few times and had things signed and have been at events where he has been since his illness has been made public and its sad to see however I for one am glad he's still doing things and not just hiding away

For anything else I expect him to arrive on stage with a bit of cardboard with "I still aint'n dead" on it.

I happened across it by accident. It was a fascinating and affecting documentary. I don't like his work but I appreciate that a lot of people do and he's a thoroughly nice chap. The book reading was painful to watch. :(

I love Pratchett's work and have every book he has written (even the children's stuff). I think it is great that he is bringing his illness into the public eye and removing some of the stigma that is often associated with it but I also had to turn over at the book reading stage because it was too painful to watch.

His recent works have shown signs that he is losing focus and the stories seem to drift aimlessly at points but he is still the only author other than Douglas Adams who can make me laugh out loud.

Watching it now.

It is quite good, but I think they need to show the shot of the CGI brain again, I don't quite understand where Alzheimer's is effecting him...

It's his hands, isn't it? It means he can't write anymore.

I saw some of this. It was terribly sad, so I went off to play FIFA with Bezzies.

Shame Rhianna wasn't in it.

Phwoar etc.

I've watched a bit of this on iPlayer, will watch the rest later. So far - he's a nicer person than I was expecting.
