If I've been away for a bit however, I am guilty of only opening the bulk of threads that have interesting titles, and bluk-ignoring the rest.

In those cases it's usually when I mark as read the threads about games I don't own.

Well, it took me about 5 minutes just to find the "Mark Topics Read" thingy so, er, never.

Aha, found it! It's just underneath the list of page numbers in the General Discussion page, at the top on the right hand side.

I read everything in the main forum, then use the link every so often so the sports forum icon stops being orange :0)

You could just use the 'mark forums as read' link instead.

How often does the EU click "mark topics read"? Is there some EU-mandated minimum time frame?

Good god man, they've been telling you what length your bananas should be for years, now.

I view these boards, and some other ones where I try to SEE IT ALL, via th "view new posts" button. It makes the "mark forums read" button OBSOLETE.
