You'll have to find Maddie first before you can do that to her, though, so that's a bit aspirational even for a Facebook group.

I get invites to X-factor related stuff like 'Louis Walsh is a twat', 'Get Daniel Evans off X Factor!' etc. I've no idea who the latter is.

I get very few invites, mostly because those that persist in inviting me to spurious, stupid, pointless shit find themselves ejected from my friends list pretty fucking quick. Peace and quiet ftw.

He's a guy who can sing reasonably well who's only still in the competition because his wife is dead.

They should have called the group 'Daniel Evans is a guy who can sing reasonably well who's only still in the competition because his wife is dead'. Not that I would've joined anyway.

I re-added someone after deleting them, on the proviso that they would stop sending me invites to become a zombie.

On another forum I frequent there is an X Factor thread, with people moaning about how Laura was great, and how Daniel shouldn't be in it. Someone asked, "Why do people like Daniel?"

The first response was, "I like Daniel because his wife is dead."

:D

It's not his fault he's still in the competition though. Good or bad, he's just a bloke who wants to win. Why do people get so aggressive about a fucking TV competition?

I watch the x-factor auditions and then stop watching when they're over. I don't care who wins, I just like watching people who think they can sing (but can't) get totally fucking owned and demoralised when the truth is spelled out to them.

:this: It must be depressing for the backing singers who fill in the gaps that most of the 'idols' leave, to know that they can sing much better than the monkey's front and centre, because they actually trained and practiced their art, instead of just doing karaoke in magaluf and having their drunk mates go "you should go on X-Factor!"

Dude, it's time you realised that I can hold one forceful about something and hold a completely different one about something else in which you personally see a parallel. You might call this hypocritical, I just call it having well formed, specific opinions. ;)

Besides, this Daniel bloke is nice enough and has at least some talent, whereas Kerry Katona is just a fucking cunt.

That's totally unfair. I didn't even get a day off work when I killed my wife.

I do this sometimes too, but some of them make me feel unbearably sad. They're stupid to invest so much (read: any, at all) hope in the 'opportunity' to be utterly exploited and shat on by already rich cunts, especially when they're singing is even worse than mine (or, thinking about it, they're actually more stupid if they can sing, because it's a waste of their talent), yeah. But some of them are just so hopeless and unhappy, it's sometimes hard to watch. It's better that they get crushed, but ugh.

The young ones in particular. It pisses me off that they're allowed to exploit people who are that young. They're more likely to fall for stupid shit like that when they're still teenagers, so can kind of be forgiven for buying into it. But the way it's encouraged... ugh.

I got invited by a shit chav girl that I once had the misfortune of working near to a group called 'Please help find Maddie MaCann'. Irritated the fuck out of me because

a - I can't
b - if you're going to give it the big caring thing, spell her name right.

Start a group called "Join this group if you're actually going to have sex with me" and delete anyone on your list who doesn't join. This is the real purpose of all internet sites.

What gets me about ALL contestants is how they completely fail to anticipate the possibility that the judges will say no. Like, it hasn't even entered their mind. So, when the judges do say 'No, fuck off, you're shit', they go into an upset outrage and make a complete cock of themselves.

I cannot understand how these people are so disengaged from reality that they haven't prepared themselves for failure. This is particularly bad for the young kids who, on any form of rejection at that age, will invariably burst into tears.

The whole thing is just a car crash of predictable human behavior, which is probably why I like it. I'm horribly sadistic. :DD

Yeah, those don't get sympathy. The worst part though, is that one of them begged the judges to change their minds this year, and the fucking idiots went and did so. Now they'll all be bloody at it. Not that I care if they annoy the judges - they could all be roasted over hot glass for all I care, but watching these witless twats get their way be begging is just revolting.

Didn't someone say that auditonees were pre-screened by producers so that the really shit ones who would shout back at the judges still get through for good TV.

Yes, there's a screening stage before Simon et al ever see them. So if you get through that you assume you're good, when actually it's the good plus the really, really bad that get past.

Yep, I think what you see on the telly is the second round of auditions with the best/worst ones that got through the first round.

Oh yeah, what he said.

Facebook groups are like fucking FORWARD THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS emails, the kind that are hoaxes and/or fucking pointless, except with facebook it helpfully tallies the number of witless fucking morons that participate because they don't have the brainpower to have an independant fucking thought.

Fuck me I hate people. Why can't people die? Why are people so fucking stupid? etc.

It helps people to think they've done something, so they don't have to get off their arse and take any action.

Facebooking their guilt away.

Also they think it makes them look all noble and righteous, when it merely makes them look like an annoying tool. Or possibly 'even more of an annoying tool'. Thus it ties in neatly with the 'who will have sex with me' bit.
