Am really enjoying
this channel. It's called The Rest is Entertainment and it's Richard Osman and Marina Hyde talking about a lot of behind the scenes stuff to do with TV, film, sport and games. It's really interesting and they're both good on it.
Regarding all the aircraft stuff above.
If you go to to 9m 50s on
this video, you'll see a Jet2 flight coming in, getting shaken up by crosswinds and aborting the landing. It was a flight from Lapland in Jan 2019 and while the video doesn't exactly do it justice, it was TERRIFYING. It was the last time I flew and the reason I didn't bother getting a new passport.
Here is an other angle of it. You can see a bit more of a rotation on this one. Pretty much the moment the pilot said 'nope.'
Again, it doesn't really do the moment justice (at the time I figured I had a 1 in 3 chance of dying and everyone on the plane was freaked out, including the cabin crew from what I could tell) but yeah I'm just not keen on getting on a plane again for the foreseeable.
