I watched some films

Ben Kingsley plays an eccentric (possibly autistic and starting to show signs of dementia) elderly person living in small town America when a UFO crashes in his garden and he has to deal with the consequences as no one else takes him seriously.
I quite liked this, a nice self-contained, slow paced story, with just enough going on, to keep you interested. (it did make me want to rewatch Batteries not Included and Cocoon after it had ended though)

The FlashNot as bad as everyone said it was, but by no means excellent, the CGI was poor (felt like I was watching a cutscene from a computer game or tv show), Ezra Miller is annoying

However, other than those things, I quite enjoyed it, it was fun, I did want to see how the story developed, and I loved Batman in it.

Dune
I rewatched this, and other than it being a bit slow to get going, I really enjoyed it again, the one downer was the number of famous actors in it, we (I watched it with my wife and youngest son) kept on remarking on it, it took us out of the moment/story. The other thing (and a lot of sci-fi does this) was that considering we were so far in the future, there was an awful lot of middle ages living (castles, wax seals, swords) which seemed out of place.
I'm probably going to watch part 2 at the cinema tomorrow, so this was mostly watched as a reminder, however I still really enjoyed the film once they got to Arrakis.
