On the up side, there’s clearly a gap in the market.

My second favourite part of yesterday was the story about the bloke who found a bomb down the road from us. He took it home in his van "to clean it up", realised it was bomb, then drove in his van to put it back where he found it.

My favourite part was the newspaper article about a second bomb that was found in a house in the area with the police advice of "Please stop taking bombs home".

The story has appeared in lots of regional newspapers, probably because they're all published by Reach PLC.

I'm trying to think of events they'd have. Javelin throw? Pole vault? 100m worm? Wrestling is a given. Nosh and Gobble relay?

On and off, it's been raining cats and dogs here. I am not complaining too much, though, as it could be hailing taxis.

Hullo all. Happy Birthday for yesterday Malc! Been offline a bit of late but am ready to pop back here, as it is a happy space. Been missing you guys a bit. Wub. Off to American soon on the 4th for a great big road trip, Seattle to Chicago. Took a bit of a mental health hit with the continuous dark, rainy days and flow of crap news, among other things, but now the sun is slowly returning and I'm getting fired up about this trip (albeit with butterflies in stomach) I'm coming out of my shell a bit again. Anyway, will blather later, am on train at mo' to visit the fam, then a birthday curry. Hugs to you all!

I’ve been tidying the loft, and found a couple of my leather jackets from 30+ years ago.

I’ll give them a good clean up, but I’m not sure I’ll fit very easily.

They're awesome! I'm not sure why you would ever stop wearing jackets like those?

Also, that white space ship in the corner of that box. I used to have that... and, I think I can spot an orange Go Bot in the middle of that box. I had that too! Some kind of JCB/digger type thing?

I used to have that green truck thing if the back pops open with some sort of rocket launchers inside. Not thought about it for decades.

It would have to.

The green toys are Matchbox Adventure 2000. I’ve got most of the range but they are all very battered. Unsurprisingly, boxed ones in good condition fetch over a hundred quid.

I’ve just realised that this “the other side” is talking about the afterlife, because the chicken was killed

Isn’t it? I press play and it does nothing. It’s completely still. But then… they all seem like that now, and so from your response I’m guessing that it’s ME that’s broken and not Giphy?! D’oh.

I suspect that this is a more modern interpretation and it wasn’t the original intention, but still a proper WTF moment.

When I was in secondary school, we had some kids visiting from the primary school down the road. Can't have been a "this is what big school is like" thing because they were only 6 or 7, but they were given an exercise to come up with a joke and to write it down.

I'll always remember one of them.

Why did the cow cross the road?
To get some grass.

Up until just now, I've always thought "kids are fucking stupid", but what if he was just ahead of the curve and was talking about a weed dealer on the other side of the road?
