Just down the road from here, the council have introduced a £20 charge to park overnight (circled red, pretty much) There's reasons apparently, and the place was popular with motorhomes and the like.
Quote:
The ECHO understands the intention of the new charges is to better control where larger vehicles and motorhomes can park in order to remove obstruction on the public road, which is a statutory duty for local authorities. It is also understood that the new ETRO is expected to improve waste management in the area and help the authorities enforce the public space protection order in place at the New Brighton Dips.
However, I am a bit confused. Many comments I have read have said that people should get facilities for their £20 a night, whereas I think the charge exists as a deterrent and there shouldn't be an expectation of anything. Want facilities, go to a camp site.
Apparently, most of the motorhomes now are on the road that runs to the place marked Bluebells which must ruin the views of the more expensive houses over the golf course.
