TBH I thought cooled seats were a gimmick (in our climate at least) until the heatwave hit and then I was just like, 'Wow, these are actually quite nice.'
The best thing about the Lexus is that it cost four grand, it tickles me pink that you can get that much car for less than the price of a 7-8 year old bog-standard VW Golf.
I don't know why people don't seem to want them, I guess it's not a very desirable car segment and the GS300 does seem to be exclusively the preserve of old men (certainly if the ones around here are anything to go by), plus maybe folks lump them in with 10-15+ year old Mercs or BMWs, which are nothing but a constant stream of bills for niggly shit going wrong.
Whereas the Lexus is basically a Toyota with a skirt on and a different badge, but I see that as a good thing since Toyota make some of the most reliable cars in the world.
If this one blows up I'd definitely have another one, but by all accounts they're not known for anything going seriously wrong with them, they were very popular in the States where they would routinely clock up 250K-300K+ miles without issue. (Mine only has 63K on it.)
