The only thing slightly problematic with Bridgerton was the absolutely predictable plot, but it was still excellent Christmas binge watching material.
We’ve been bingeing Greg Davies ‘Man Down’ since the Christmas break. Piss funny at times, some great cameos and insane situations. Recommend you give it a try if your stuck for something to watch.

We've just finished the first series of Ghosts with the kids. It's been an absolute joy. Nine-year-old laughs like a drain at most of it, 4-year-old laughs at the slapstick.
Genuinely funny characters, who each bring something very different to the absurd setup. The politician trying to manipulate objects with his mind never stops being funny.
And myself and Mrs Fop have found it very funny indeed. A few risque bits in terms of sex, but it's never explicitly referenced e.g. a filmstar is frequently referred to as a free pass. Certainly I think we managed to finish the series without needing to have The Talk with Mini Fop the elder.
Would highly recommend, and looking forward to cracking on with S2.

I've only seen the first UK one and the Canadian one. The whole phenomenon had passed me by until a weekly Zoom quiz I used to do had a Ru Paul round one evening. Out of curiosity I put the first BBC episode on afterwards and had not experienced such a burst of colour and energy since Dorothy took that flight out of Kansas. Yet to see a US version.
I didn’t enjoy the Canadian series too much, but the UK and US series are both good, yet really different. The US queens are so much more polished than the U.K. ones, but the U.K. queens are so much funnier and generally more engaging.
The dancer in the new series is stunningly beautiful both before and after getting into drag.

I used to sort-of know Sum Ting Wong from the first UK series ( we went to the same fencing club for a while ). He could drink most people under the table and did amazing halloween costumes.

Yep! This must have been 6 or 7 at years back at least and i think he was just starting out! He still had a "day job" but was performing quite often. I am certain he was boozing in a dress, but maybe not swordfighting at the same time! ( although entirely possible )

I have just watched and finished Enterprise. That means I have now finally watched every Star Trek episode ever aired. Enterprise was very enjoyable, mostly. Discovery not so much, as it seems to have gone a bit odd.
Now to find something as equally easy to watch when on my indoor bike. I am thinking agents of shield or Battlestar galactica, but I am open to suggestions. It has just to be easy to watch and not to complicated.

On the subject of mindless, sometimes I'll just pick any old rubbish on Netflix more as background than anything. Last week I rattled through (mainly napped through) several episodes of Benidorm. Very predictable stuff until you reach an episode with an escaped murderer who for some reason is a Javier Bardem in No Country For Old Men parody:

Watched the first two parts of The Terror last night. It felt suitably chilly and claustrophobic, but seemed to lack any actual, er, terror. I'll keep watching as some of the characters are quite compelling, especially the petty officer's devious grin.
We started watching Bridgerton. Just an episode per night so as not to binge watch it. It’s beautiful, visually, and gently funny.
The youngest Bridgerton girl reminds me of Kern. As in, if Kern had a twin sister, or a daughter, I’d imagine she’d look like that young actress.

The Terror was one of the ships. The title lured you in, thinking that they were all going to go bonkers or be attacked by a slavering alien..... but either of those COULD happen later.
Mrs. W and I have been watching The Crown. Yesterday we saw the episode featuring Diana realising the horror of joining the royal family, her attempt to call off the wedding and failing to get any of them to even talk to her, and then Charles came back from a tour and went to see Camilla before his fiancé. The whole thing, if it's anything like what actually happened, is bizarre.
And today we have news of Megan's Oprah interview, spilling the beans on her experiences. Sounds like nothing much has changed.
