A blogger has posted a ton of game center pictures from old Japanese resort/hotel brochures. They are a fascinating look at what you could do on a rainy day or in the evening after a day on the beach in mid-70's to early 80's. Link: https://t.co/9p2RJYqBpZ pic.twitter.com/1ZOXxrP6d7

What do we define "software"? If it's just code, can it be written down in a book and still be considered software? Was GALAXY GAME the first commercially published computer game with cover art?

It was thought to be lost forever, but we managed to rescue and rebuild the unreleased "Days of Thunder" for the NES from a pile of dying floppy disks. In memory of its co-author Chris Oberth, here's the story of how it all came together: https://t.co/knXkMaJ6bJ pic.twitter.com/fREmHhsmR1

Let me clear this up regarding my opinion on Billy Mitchell and whether he cheated.
— Tim McVey (@sprinter461) June 22, 2020
I didn't want to believe he cheated. I've known Billy since we were teens. But overwhelming evidence showed he DID cheat.
So until I see new "evidence" proving otherwise... he cheated. OK?
So this was a pretty advantageous position for Mitchell to be in; both owning Twin Galaxies AND having Walter Day on the editorial board of Guinness Book of World Records. It's worth noting at the time that Mitchell DID NOT have the world record on Donkey Kong Junior or Pac-Man.
