I thought it was a great idea.

Do we have to spoiler this thread?

Fun romp with a suitable mystery for the episode length. Didn't really mind the educational bit.

EDIT: Meant to add that the vlogger asking if people recognised her was a nice touch.

Depends on the nature of the spoiler. We tend to do it better than the BBC have in the past.

Well, it wasn't "the doctor goes and orgasms over a historical human", so it has that on its favour. But yeah. Bit preachy for my tastes.

"The Haunting of Villa Diodati"

Excellent episode. Love a haunted house story, and particularly enjoyed the Doc's performance and behaviour. Bradley Walsh looked ace in the period garb.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Perhaps some of the celebs weren't as fleshed out as they could be in a longer tale, but loved the shout-out to Ada. The doc's pained reference to Bill was a nice nod too.

The butler was a joy too.

Flying cyberman heads is the stuff of nightmares, and reminded me a lot of a similar thing in 'Doom'.
Fantastic entrance from the Master - and I was expecting Jack!

Not sure what where they're going with the Garda subplot. I reckon it's connected to the sleeping old-timey cyberman we see the not-at-all-like-Robocop fiddling with, but it could also be a chameleon ark thing

I think I need to rewatch the final two-parter before deciding what to make of it all. Definitely enjoyed it all however.

Dhwanan continues to be an excellent master, and the scenes with him and the rogue Cyberman showed he could make an excellent Doctor too. His interplay with the Doc was fantastic too.

Well, I enjoyed that. The Doctor is still a mystery as we don’t know where the Timeless Child came from. Could there be more out there continually regenerating? The Ireland thing was a little odd, and a bit of a weird throw off. Overall, I enjoyed it. I’ll be watching the special on New Years/Christmas.

Revolution of the Daleks

Probably a little too long, and one or two clumsy pieces of dialogue, but I really enjoyed it.

ZOMG Spoiler! Click here to view!
Trapping the daleks in a Tardis was a brilliant trick.
Good to see Jack back although it took a couple of scenes for him to find his rhythm. His scenes with Yaz were a particular delight.

Fun cameo from Emily Matis.

Probably more thoughts to follow once I've rewatched it later in the week.

I think that Jodie Whittaker was the best thing in it. The companions I didn't really enjoy, and the scripts were not as good as previously. She totally carried it. Some episodes were good, however, but I didn't bother finishing the series.

Can't believe it's 4 years since she started!

I think she is great in the role but unlike her immediate predecessors I've not felt any urge to go and rewatch her seasons. Sure, reading this thread suggests I enjoyed some, got annoyed by others, and found one truly abysmal but that's not her fault.

I tuned out during the Matt Smith years when it became abundantly clear that Steven Moffat has no business being a show runner - and from what I hear, Chibnall wasn't much better.

I have quite enjoyed Jodie's DW, as it seemed to have gone back to being a family / kids show. I know al lot of the older fans hated the writing, but my son loved it. I think it should be aimed at kids and not the toxic fan base that just want more Tenant and Smith

A madcap romp that made little sense but I loved every minute of it. Fingers crossed the pace and joy can hold up over the rest of the series.

I thought John Bishop stood out like a sore thumb, and yeah, I didn't think that much of it either, but I watched it between watching "An American Werewolf in London" and the Japanese version of "The Ring", so maybe I wasn't in the correct mindset for it!

Agree. Probably the scariest the Angels have been since Blink.

I was about to switch off when the credits were rolling but noticed the music was different so started to enjoy it then the post-credits scene came up which wrapped up the totally-not-Exodus subplot well.

I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but I'm really not feeling it this year. There's absolutely too much exposition through people just bloody talking! And why does the doctor now treat the companions like children?
