Even if I did I wouldn't post it here, what kind of unhinged maniac would do something like that?

No, its gone.
Mice are later coming this year, but seem localised. Currently have two bait stations and three traps, and replaced the wire wool with fresh wire wool. Moving the kickboards is a faff and a half so I will check every other day. I have no idea how they get in.
We've killed loads of the bloody things already. Not looking forward to the results of 5 days away...

Has been considered, but many reasons why that isn't an option.
Is there any reason to not take the poisoned food out of the packet? They don't seem to go for it when it is in the packet, so I tip it all into the trays like the council man did.
I turned 40 last Saturday and just look what my friends have bought me!
Fuck yes!

What are you going to put in it?
That's one heck of a paperweight
Awesome!

Happy Birthday!

I've been looking online and it looks like it's quite easy to get a raspberry pi inside one so I'll probably end up doing that.

Pretty exciting I reckon!
That's awesome! Happy belated birthday mate!

I'd love a full size cab with MAME... and a pinball machine too. Please.

I quite like the look of these

No cheap at $3500 though.
Yeah, that's really not cheap.

I love it.
I've wanted to build my own arcade cocktail table for years.

Arcade1up (who do TheVision's cabinet above) have a cocktail one

https://arcade1up.com/

https://arcade1up.com/collections/cabin ... ies-pacman

Looks like its pre order only at the moment
Only ships to US, and only has 8 games on it (and no idea as to whether it's possible to swap them out or anything) :(

The uprights were US only at the initial launch
You cant change the games as such without swapping the board out for something else however as TheVision mentioned above there are plenty of tutorials now for swapping the uprights for a Raspberry Pi instead and I'd expect the same for these

The alternative would be to buy a kit and build your own - but buying one like this (which is self assembly) is that you skip a lot of the fiddly bits
I've ordered a Raspberry Pi and various bits to begin modding my new arcade machine. I've never messed with a Raspberry Pi before apart from at the cottage with Davpaz. It'll be interesting to see how this turns out.

Didn't we have a Pi thread somewhere?
I'm sure Craster will have made several.
Retropie thread. I haven't tried MAME on mine (or on any system).

Warning! Could now be massively out of date.

Actually not a lot has changed and I'd go with the last few comments on it - download a pre built / preset image and put that onto a card and boot it up

Plug in a Power supply / HDMI cable , and virtually any controller (PS3/4 Xbox 360/One) and follow the prompts to get it configured and you're done.
Although PS3 controllers can be a fucking nightmare to get working depending on the controller. PS4 works straight away though.

Even the Xbox One controllers can be troublesome if they're not the Bluetooth model.
Franco goes to Hollywood.

The right decision.
After two and a half years on the waiting list, I've got my autism assessment tomorrow. Bit nervous. Slightly worried they'll say I'm just wasting their time and I'm not on the spectrum, I'm just an arsehole.

Good luck with it. :) I've a couple of people just this year suggest I might have some form of autism, but I just consider myself an introvert.

Good luck mate, hope you get the answers you're looking for.
Hope it goes your way, Nik.
Today I am lunching in a car park in Greasbrough. Looks better than it sounds.

Are those "supporters" in the photo doing a fascist salute or just waving at someone they know? I think the intention by the photographer was to show a salute, but if they're protesting about moving Franco's remains, why are they all smiling?

Thanks! Not sure how it went, really. I did a lot of talking (with what felt like far too many tangents and digressions, as my brain fired off in multiple directions), which I don’t tend to do unless it’s to someone I know very well, or someone being paid to listen. There were a few “activities” too, such as interpreting/describing what’s going on in a picture book, describing the process of brushing my teeth, and making up a story using little props. They’re going to speak to a couple of family members: my wife, being someone who knows me well, and my sister, being someone who’s known me all my life. This meant “coming out” to my sister about my suspicions about my condition, which for some reason terrified me, but needn’t have done as she’s been lovely about it. Anyway, then they’ll write a detailed report about me, and call me back in to go through it.
Do you ever think about the companies that make niche products? I had to drive through this company's yard to get to Rico in Leeds, and wondered what their business is. Now I know.

One of these items should be of particular interest to Grim. Can you guess which one?

It's uncanny!
Waiting at the dentist's. There is an 'enter if you dare' banner with skulls on it across the reception desk. This does not fill me with confidence.

Reminds me of the local Poundland's Halloween window display, with Bags for Life being advertised by a Grim Reaper cut-out.
Very happy birthday mr dave!

that sounds like a thorough thing Nik how long until you get the report?
