Team Gove tell me they will not give any guidance on his future at this time. Asked if he is resigning, I was told "no comment".
My favorite "what if" - May loses confidence vote, Tories elect new leader who can't command confidence of House. Then have May as PM unable to govern, unable to call election (FT parl act), and unable to resign as she can't advise Queen on successor.

I think that if that were the case, and the Tory position switched to ditching Brexit, I would vote for them over Labour, because I think staying in the EU with a tory government is a net better position than being out of the EU with Labour's current offerings.

Bill voted leave, but earlier today he called @mrjamesob on @LBC to say sorry and it's emotional. He says as wrong & he is a #remainernow.

James' response is exactly how everyone should react.
It's not people like Bill we should be angry with, it's the politicians who lied! pic.twitter.com/dtkrTlJ4nj

I have spent the last few days in Washington talking to US Government Trade and Treasury officials encouraging a free trade deal with the UK. Excellent response. They have already started on the procedures to allow negotiations to start immediately once we leave the EU in March.
