With 10 players alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch.

Day 6 ends Monday at 2pm, or sooner if there is a majority vote.

On the plus side, no one died.

Very curious.

Well, there are at least two possible meanings for this.

For instance

#1) We don't get released until noone pushes a button, and those who have roleblocking/investigating roles etc did, but the remaining kill roles didn't.
#2) Killer was blocked by doctor/roleblocker.
#3) Someone, be it 'mafia' or someone else has a more particular goal than kill to majority.
#4) Our captor is messing with us.

There was a #5, but, alas, I've forgotten it.

If we can get everyone to agree a no button press for tonight I think that would be good.

Last night hasn't really revealed anything but hasn't cost us anything. It would appear buttons were pushed, wether that was roleblock/investigate or kill. Potentially a roleblocker blocked an attempted kill but I see no harm in trying again tonight with even roleblockers and investigators refraining from button pushing.
I say we all vote for no lynch then all also message trooper requesting no night action to be doubly sure.

I'm starting to think the no voters are part of a group who need to reach some target or other.

I think some of us are going to regret going along with it.

Which makes.... you mafia. I picked you as you seem to have the same role as me, which either makes you a liar, or tells everyone the role of a person left alive (me) if we kill you.

I'm 100% certain I'm not mafia, which makes you one. So if you get everyone to gang up on me then you're dead the next day.

What logic makes me mafia just because you know your own role?

My argument is that I don't know my role, only my win condition.

I didn't touch anything or get any messages or nowt.

I wonder if something thinks they have a kill role, in fact, doesn't and just happened to press a button the same night or nights someone died.

Why don't we all try pressing the same button? Because, y'know, it's different, init?

Interesting to see the different personalities....

But yeah, I:m not going to be voting, and I:m still not going to be pressing any buttons.

I agree with mr Dave. I don't understand why people are persisting with the voting. Clearly someone pressed a button last night and I see no harm in attempting a full day and night of no action.

Well there were no kills?! So it looks like the killer did nothing, and as mr Dave said, if the cult recruit, and you have a win condition of survive, it doesn't matter! If I knew my number I'd be pleading with the cult to recruit me so as I would have a chnace of winning if your all intent on killing someone!

Why is this game different? We always lynch as it is the towns only power?

Well, no, we didn:t...

quote from yesterday+ "Another thing, people who are 100% certain about their night role, and are an investigator or roleblocker, can press away."

Yip looked. There are no rules other than the buttons.

But we know there are town, mafia and cult. So doing nothing plays into the cult/mafia not the town.

Kovacs, is your win condition survive? If so, lets look at the options.
1) We play as normal, lynching at random (because the investigators get numbers, not names, so the information isn't useful). There are nighttime kills, daytime lynches, and eventually two people are left standing. Everyone else still around right now has by the end been killed and only two people 'win'.
2) We don't vote to lynch. We don't carry out night actions. No one is killed, no one is recruited, or blocked, or investigated. We all simply wait. We all survive. We all meet our win condition. We are all released and go on to live long and happy lives.
3) We don't vote to lynch. We don't carry out night actions. The killer ignores this and kills. We all go back to lynching etc tomorrow. We have lost one player.
4)We don't vote to lynch. We don't carry out night actions. The cult ignores this. They recruit. The remaining people are still alive and so again, everyone survives. We all are released and go on to live happy lives.
Of those options, 2 & 4 are the best. 3 is unlucky but slim odds and has minimal impact on the whole experience overall. 1 seems downright crazy if carried out before attempting the others.
Is there a fifth option that you see? Because looking at it purely from a numbers/odds point of view, I think we have to attempt a day and night of everyone not voting and not pressing buttons. The only reason anyone would not want to abstain from action was if they had an ulterior motive other than survive. Again, this is because of two reasons- we can't make use of the information the investigator finds out because we don't know who it relates to, and we all (presumably) just want to survive!

Although, with 4, there is a fairly good chance that the recruiter has already been killed and so this situation cannot come to pass. And if I:m wrong, no skin off my nose.

KovacsC wrote:

My point was that we don:t know the rules. You:re assuming things on games past, where, let me remind you, the mafia were a team. From whatever evidence there is in this game, that:s not the case here given the way they were willing to sell each other out for no gain.

Could be wrong. But, you know, it:d be great if I weren:t...and everyone else didn:t partake in mutually assured destruction and that.

The fact the kovacs jumped so quickly on Mr Russes attempt at lynching me leads me to believe that they could both be mafia, me and russ could have the same role, but one of us is town (me) and one of us is Mafia (him) or he could be talking total bollocks and has a killing role himself. Who know! Gonna stick with my [vote: Mr Russell] from yesterday

It says 6 no lynch votes are required to do nothing on the counter, so the syntax will need changing.
