They are the easily gettable and the easily googleable, I think. Now, thing's like 'what was mimi is=n a previous life' can be put out as (convincing) dummy answers - check the length though, and don't contradict one another...

Also, best to get some answers out there first if not all are got, so we have some of the ones that either team can get already on the table. Got to go and make lunch. Toodle pip.

I wasn't posting 'like a lunatic', fool. That's OK, it would have been a good one to keep in standby if the answer isn't commonly known. (Is it actually wrong then? I guess it means in forum joke terms)

try and fill in the blanks here and then we'll have to make a decision as to whether we think teh other team will get them ALL or to gamble on putting in our vote with most. First thing to do it to update the thread with a couple of good, dummy answers that aren't easily 'gettable' by the other team - more personal answers might be best here.

I thought the doc's name meant 'Gaywood' but that doesn't fit, so it might be 'happy wood' or 'merry wood' depending on the literal translation, perhaps? It would be a food idea to use that as one of the dummy answers if we can work out the clues that cross it and put out the answer that doesn't actually fit ( I'm on my pho e whilst eating, so can't see the grid at present to check if we have one of those answers that cross it)

llawen means "merry"/"happy" as in Nadolig Llawen (Merry Christmas)

That's what I mean - the answer could be either, but only one of those will fit (gay was a synonym of happy/merry, of course). It would be useful to work out if the crossword answer is happy or merry and put out the OTHER answer.

Sorry, I've been a bit poorly so had to get something to eat and have a lie down. Anyway, people could have helped with some answers if they wanted to. The idea was a sound one, but with nobody helping to volunteer answers we would never get anywhere. Might have been one person with high google-fu on the other team or all together, but I don't think that the majority of our team even know the game has begun yet, so what can you do?

I can't access Beex from work other than on my phone, so I was always going to struggle with anything requiring:

1) Cutting and pasting
2) Beex searching
3) Things done at lunch time other than eating

I do agree, but really we want to win tasks, and they've not shown us the same consideration by voting off, say, APoD, because he hasn't helped with the tasks, etc.

For the sake of keeping the active people on their team, or do we want to win? I'll listen to everyone else on this, so please do give your opinions.

Generally, I think people should be stopped from playing future games for a while if they join and don't post. Spoils it for everyone.
