It was nice day.
The harvest was coming along nicely, and the sun was starting to go down, so wasn't as hot any more.
You are one of several scientists who came from Caprica to Aerilon to investigate ways of increasing crop yield, and you're working way out in the middle of nowhere, enjoying the quiet after the bustle and crowds of Caprica City.

And now Aerilon is dead.

You picked up scattered messages on the radio - the Cylons have attacked the Twelve Colonies, and the human race is close to extintion. They advise survivors to go to their nearest surviving population centre - but Aerilon is mostly fields, the nearest town is hundreds of miles away. Instead, you head up to the nearby deserted military base, where you find other survivors crowded around a Raptor spacecraft.

Everyone is trying to get on, you're trying to get on, but a large notice taped to the Raptor (which, fittingly, is called Sweet Chariot) says that it is in need of repair, and can only take four passengers, plus the pilot.

The radio says that Cylon assault squads have been spotted on Aerilon, and are searching for survivors.

Time to make sure you're on that ship.

RULES:
The survivors can vote for people they don't want to be onboard Sweet Chariot. As soon as enough survivors agree on one person, that person will take no further part in the discussion, and will deal with their impending death any way they choose.
After someone has been chosen, people will get some sleep.
Once there are only five people left, they will board Sweet Chariot and, assuming one of their number can pilot, they will head for the stars.

Players must play toward their epic win conditions (below) at all times. Once these become impossible, they should play toward their win condition.

[1] Number One Cylon
You are the head Cylon, and you make the decisions about what to do.
Your fellow Cylons are [NAMES].
While people are sleeping you can choose one of your fellow cylons (or go yourself, if you wish) and kill one of the survivors. Alternatively, you can search one of the survivors to find out what their job is.

[0-1] Number Three Cylon
You are a Cylon, and you follow the lead of [NAME].
The other Cylons are [NAMES].
If [NAME] is killed or voted off the ship, other Cylons will look to you for orders.
You know how to pilot a Raptor.

[0-1] Number Four Cylon
You are a Cylon, and you follow the lead of [NAME].
If [NAME] and [NAME] are killed or voted off the ship, other Cylons will look to you for orders.
The other Cylons are [NAMES].

[1] Number Six Cylon
You are a Cylon, and you follow the lead of [NAME].
The other Cylons are [NAMES].
You are properly fit, and while people are sleeping (and assuming you aren't out doing other things) you can wake and seduce one person. This person won't do anything else until people wake up again.

[1-2] Military Pilots
You are a military pilot. You know how to pilot a Raptor.

[1-2] Military soldiers
You are a soldier. While people are sleeping you can opt to stand watch near them. Anyone who attempts to approach this person will see you and think otherwise. However, if they come looking for you it's not like you'll be hard to find...

[1] Military psycho
You're a soldier. You have information vital to the war, and you need to be on Sweet Chariot, and now that anyone here could have learned your secrets, you'll make sure that if you are on the Raptor that no-one else is getting off.
While people are sleeping you will take your combat knife and kill one person.

[0-2] Curious Scientists
A scientist from Caprica, you've always been curious about things. While people are sleeping you can choose one person to search to find out what their job is.

[1-2] Pilot Scientists
You are a scientist. You want to go home.
You know how to pilot a Raptor.

[The Rest] Scientists
You are a scientist. You want to go home.

Possible jobs:
Scientist, Soldier, Neither

Action order:
Seduce, Stand Guard, Search, Kill

Win conditions:
Cylon epic win: All the Cylons leave on Sweet Chariot.
Cylon win: At least one Cylon leaves on board Sweet Chariot.

Military epic win: All Cylons nuetralised, psycho nuetralised, less than five innocent human casualties*, at least two non-psycho military leave on Sweet Chariot.
Military win: No Cylons or psychos leaves on Sweet Chariot.

Scientist epic win: No Cylons or psychos are on Sweet Chariot when it leaves, less than five innocent human casualties*.
Scientist/Military psycho win: You leave on Sweet Chariot.

*'Casualties' applies only to people killed while sleeping, not those banned from Sweet Chariot.

I assume that if no pilot boards the ship, everyone loses?

Well no - but the win conditions are a bit unclear. If the military kill all the cylons and the psycho, all the pilots die, but less than 5 total humans die, do they win or lose? Does the psycho count as a human for their win condition?

That's a good point: No.

Yeah, but the military don't appear to have to board the ship to win, they just have to wipe out the bad guys.

Right - but if the people who get on the ship don't include a pilot, and the military fulfill their win condition, do they win?

Should the casualty thing for military and scientist win conditions both say "innocents", because otherwise if there's more then 10 players the scientists lose.

I assume it's 'less than 5 human casualties, ignoring the ones you leave behind on the planet'.

That makes literally, figuratively, metaphorically and simile-ically no sense at all.

This seems a little odd

Quote:

If the Psycho is nuetralised(?) why is 'non-psycho' specified ?

And that sorta breaks the Psycho's win condition (I would have thought his epic win is for him to get on the ship with no cylons / normal win for him to get on the ship?)

The psycho is going to kill everyone else on the ship anyway, isn't he?

Yeah, good point.

The psycho only has to get on the ship to win.

Ahhh , it might be better to rename him/her then since

Military psycho
suggests they would have 'military' win conditions

This may be better left until the current game finishes but I have a question about the epic win conditions - specifically for Military and Scientist (and might as well put them down here while I can remember them)

Lets say a game starts and there are 19 players , that splits out into 4 Cylons , 1 Psycho plus various other roles.

Day 1 the team works really well and votes off a Cylon.
Overnight the Cylons and the Psycho kill

Day 2 as luck would have it the team votes off a Cylon
Overnight the Cylons and the Psycho kill

Day 3 the chances of probability are severely stretched and the team votes off *another* Cylon
Overnight the Cylons kill the Psycho and the Psycho kills a normal person

Day 4 as we're already bursting out the infinite improbability drive the team votes off the final Cylon.
No night actions cause all the baddies are gone.

Both Scientists and Military fail their epic win because there were 5 casualties.

That part of the 'epic' win condition doest really seem possible unless there is such a fantastic stroke of luck and Cylons and Psycho hit each other early on.

Even throwing other things into the mix it seems too far off to be realistic.

Epic, you see. I don't really expect any team to hit their epic win.

If they did, they'd be truly epic.

It's like a murder mystery game...
You get assigned a random role in secret at the start, and you need to find out who the bad guys are just from what people post. Or if you are a bad guy, you pretend to help while plotting who to remove from the game next.
It all happens in 'days', which ends when everyone (bad guys included) vote one person out. Then you have a 'night' where the bad guys choose to remove another player.
There are bonus power roles where people can investigate others, but then the problem is how to tell people what you find out and have them believe you,and as soon as the bad guys know you can investigate them - expect to ne killed off the next 'night'.
It's all about truth and lies :)

Thing is - you can stand there and tell the truth and nothing but the truth and people will still think your lying.

The question is probably more can you spot a lie ?

And do you know what "Bad court thingy" is :
