The day dawns over a despondant group of children. Santa isn't coming this year. What an awful way to spend Christmas. It looks like someone has had a worse Christmas though - Goddess Jasmince Pie is not here. She has been sent off to spend Christmas with her elderly relatives in the Outer Hebrides after an overnight incident involving too much Christmas brandy and a biker bar.

Goddess Jasmince Pie was a Super Junior Investigator.

Ru roww!

The children look around. Four of them are grinning wickedly - and reach up under their hats to pull off cunning latex masks to reveal the faces of the Grinch and his goblins - there aren't enough children left to stop their rampage! Christmas this year is going to be a miserable one.

Congratulations to the Grinch, Kalmarzipan, and his goblins, Myoptinsel, Rudolfowa, and Baubleyaro.

Commiserations to all the others, who were good little boys and girls.

Spectacular fail! I particularly liked it when everyone ignored the advice of Santa, despite him being adamant that someone was a goodie... how could he have known that, eh?

And all you people ignoring my attempt to get Baubleyaro lynched! You fools, you foolish fools!

Haha! Well played, mah boys :)

If I might say so, we had an almost flawless win there. Would have ended sooner if we hadn't been taking the piss by actively trying to get you to lynch joans :D
(did anyone notice the pattern of people being targetted were always those who had started the vote against Joans?

It possibly didn't help that the actual Grinch spent most of the previous day asserting that the Shin was a goodie too.. Possibly making him waste an investigate to find out...

Wait, no I got 2 out of 3 baddies correct! Before the game even started!

So I was right, I'm better off guessing without reading.

So if anyone's wondering why I didn't kill off Mr Chris, I think it would have won the goblins the game on about two separate occasions :0)

Cheers Craster, that was a good game, just a shame it was a bit quiet, what with the time of year.

We were considering having a goblin role-reveal as Santa on day 5 I think, just to liven things up.

I call you way early, man, but there wasn't enough energy in this game to effectively convince anyone. It was slow and plodding and everyone eventually went with whatever the encumbant majority was just to get the day over.

I worry that mafiascum on this forum in general has lost its fascination for us.

You might be right, but I just think we started the game a few days too late. By the end nearly everyone had broken up for Christmas.

I don't think the game has lost its fascination for us. Not me, anyway.

More likely it's that anyone who posts anything immediately gets accused of being scum and lynched.

I still like it, and try to get discussion started, but the problem is that any time someone speaks out and tries to get something going, they get lynched, so after a few days you get any loud townies lynched, and the bad guys remaining fairly quiet, or deflecting attention away.

Which makes it quiet. I mean, I was lynched this time for voting for Bobby because he was doing classic scum 'there but not there' stuff, and people thought I was scum for voting a lot, despite that being the exact opposite of what the scummy types generally do. Mind you, it didn't help that I was away at a wedding and unable to actually defend myself, but there ya go.
