Due to the lynching of one of their own yesterday, the atmosphere around the town was in stark contrast to the previous day. Stony faces greeted one another in the market square, everyone looking around sheepishly, avoiding each others' gazes.

As everyone assembled, it became apparent that three villagers were missing. The first to be noticed was mrak. Sheepeh kicks his front door down and finds him face down on his bed. He turns him over and finds a red mark across his neck; the verdict - strangled by piano wire.

Poking around his maisonette they find a few pots of paint, brushes and a book on DIY - mrak was the Townie painter & decorator.

The townsfolk suddenly realise that there are still two people missing. Before they can get their thoughts together, they suddenly hear a bloodcurdling scream coming from the direction of kalmar's house.

Rushing to the scene, they burst in through the door to find kalmar sat at his table with a look of sheer terror on his face. He is rocking backwards and forwards, mumbling something unintelligible.

One of the intrepid search party tries to comfort him and make sense of what he's saying. All kalmar can do is point, point towards his bathroom.

Goddess Jasmine moves gingerly towards the bathroom and pokes her head around the door. She lets out an audible gasp and relays the view to the rest of the village.

Bluecup's severed head is looking out at her from the toilet, almost drowned in blood-red water. The look on his face says it all. She moves into the bathroom to look around and is puzzled to find nothing else there - whereever the rest of Bluecup is, it isn't here.

Just as the villagers turn to leave, kalmar following a few steps behind, a bell rings loudly from the kitchen. kalmar shrugs his shoulders and the group carefully move towards the source of the noise. Hanging up on the wall is a grotesque alarm clock - the numbers on the face are represented by what looks like bloodied toes and thumbs, with human fingers making up the hour and minute hands.

Underneath the clock on the work surface is what looks like more nonsense, written in blood and with the finger used to write it lying on the counter-top. The writing reads "Ncpcrm gyvvtz ml bcfigtu".

Dudley opens Bluecup's wardrobe to find not only three packs of semtex and fusewire, but also a book stuffed in a plastic bag, "How to Blow Minds in Organised Crime" - Bluecup was the Mafia Terrorist.

It is now Day 3. With 15 players alive, 8 votes are required for a lynch and 11 votes for there to be no lynch. The deadline for a lynch is Tuesday 8pm.

They had the terrorist, so we have a doctor. So we'd have to assume a mafia was roleblocked night 1, which further means we could have more of them than we thought.

Shit.

Could the Bluecup have done that before the SK got him?

Crikey, previous days make for some interesting reading. Check out the very first page of day 1, in particular Bluecup's picture post in response to my criticism of the Terrorist role!

I don't think the terrorist can kill in that fashion. It had to have been a goon.
The terrorist's only power was blowing himself up.

If I'm reading right, only the Mafia Goons can carry out hits, so there has to be at least one more of them.

Isn't Bluey a mafia goon AND a terrorist though? Does he have both powers?

You're right though, with the likely roleblock night 1, any number of mafia can be in play.

I don't think so, he's just a terrorist with a mafia win condition.

Also, as the only roleblocker (if he's in the game) is in the mafia, then it means that the mafia's target was protected by the doctor, rather than the goon was roleblocked. Picky, I know. :)

We dropped the ball with Zaphod, that's for sure, but this means, amusingly, Bluecup was a mafia who voted to kill Curio, a fellow mafia.

Damn you Bluecup, I should have, as always, petitioned for your immediate death. Those remaining from Day 1's suspicion list are, if I recall, kalmar and Joans.

Nothing about Joans has convinced me he's not utterly evil.

[Vote:Joans]

Also, assuming it was either I or Craster that was targetted on Night 1 and was protected (thanks Doc!), it makes sense they'd target someone quite quite and unassuming like mrak - no chance of doctor protection there.

Hmmmm.

Makes sense. Presumeably the mob picked a high profile target on night one, and the Dr. did the same. So they went for someone low-profile the next night just to get a kill in.

Hmm I suspected bluecup yesterday, my other two suspicions were mr russ and squirt, although I still think the cult would have picked up comical for his mafia scum skills.

for the time being [vote:mr russ]

So you think Comical is in the cult.

But vote elsewhere?

That seems silly.

As I said yesterday, the mafia would mroe likely vote against curiosity as he looked like a lost cause to make them look innocent. And also that they'd stay out of the argument because it brings attention to people like it did to zaphod. Thats why I still think squirt and mr russ are suspicious.

Quite.

I was gearing up to explain this to Dudley, yesterday. He popped up at the last minute on day one and voted for Curiosity (when it was pretty much a done deal), and then accused anyone who didn't of being scum. Ideal cover.

I didn't see this coming. :)

1. Zaphod was mafia, you were right and I must be his mafia buddy
2. Zaphod was a townie, so it means I must be in the mafia instead.

Still not cult here. I'm as dismayed as anyone. I can only assume the cult leader has a problem with me personally and doesn't want to be subjected to my manic and continuous demands of how the cult should play.

Which actually gives me a couple of ideas of who the cult leader might be.....

No. Lets see who else posts first.

Also, off to a meeting now, so I'll be back with more accusations later. Unless you've been hung/immolated by then.

I...I can't take it any more! With the screaming and the killings and the nasty men in hooded cloaks! They all want to get me! Well they can't have me, no! Nobody gets Craster, NOBODY, you hear!

I see too much! Things I shouldn't know! They haunt me, and they won't go away! Why won't they go away?

Heeeeheee! Can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man! Oopsie - time for baking!

Craster runs off up the volcano and throws himself in.

Craster was a modkilled somewhat unhinged townie.

More to the point, we just lost another townie "for free" and virtually simultaneously found out we could have up to 3 mafia left and up to 3 cult.

Possible 7/14 baddies now, including the SK, although that's a worst case scenario.

So we've lost 4 townies now, and there are presumably there are 3 culties (unless they struck unlucky), and the mafia are down 2, we really need to try and get the cult now. But how.

Maybe the quiet ones are the cult (as lets face it they can't do too much at the beginning of the game (no one to defend) no one to talk to etc.

So yeah, the quiet ones, that's my thought any way.

4 mafia. We could have 3 goons and the roleblocker left.

There might only be 6 townies left...

Myop would have to confirm, but I still think Bluey comes out of the goon pool still, it's a secondary role.

I don't think so, the roles list says 1-4 goons and 1 terrorist. So I'd assume that's a max of 5 there (plus the possible roleblocker)
