Artifical day breaks. Everyone gathers in the village square, the crowd quivering with nervous energy. Following their success yesterday, everyone seems to think the tide is turning. Perhaps today you can root out the undead amongst you? A headcount is taken, and two have fallen.

First, The Rev Owen is found hanging upside down in his house, his ankles lashed to a roof beam. His head and neck are covered in bite marks, and the blood has been allowed to run out of the wounds, covering his face and pooling on the floor. There is writing scratched into the drying blood:

"Drinky, drinky
Plinky, plinky
Blood drops on the floor.

Scary noises
Creepy voices
Is someone at the door?"

The good Reverend has been banging on all game about buying holy water, crucifixes, and preying to God. Surely you all know he is a Priest? In his Bible, you find a note:
Quote:
"Forgive those that did this to me, despite them knowing exactly what they were doing. Please give Mr Pointy a good home. I think he likes Dimrill. Peace be with you all, townsfolk. Amen."

Runcle is missing, and the door to his large house is ajar. A strange, messy steak of goo leads to the dining room, where it appears the contents of the table have been swept to the floor. No-one sees the mess, though, because they are all looking at Runcle.

Or what's left of him.

The streak of goo ends at what is left of his face, the skin and flesh seemingly melted down to the bone. His eyes are congealed pools of foam inside the sockets, and his heart sits in his incisorless mouth. He is naked, and his chest is neatly stitched above his left breast where his heart has been removed. Stitched into Runcle's left hand is the number '60', and onto his stomach, the words "And then there was one: Lord Dimrill".

The villagers turn to Dimrill, but the Bluecup cries out - Runcle's heart, the heart in his mouth, is still beating! Pandemonium ensues, before Curiosity grabs a wooden stake from the table that has seemingly been left by the killer and plunges it into the heart.

A hissing, pathetic mewling wheezes from what is left of Runcle's lungs before he turns to dust, leaving a burn mark on the table.

As the villagers rush out in panic Zardoz trips over and breaks a small UV lamp - the kind used in hospitals to view x-rays. The casing smashes, and the batteries fall out. Picking himself up, Zardoz rushes after the others, slamming the heavy door behind him.

Runcle was a Vampire.

[playerlist]
Bluecup
Craster
Curiosity
Dimrill
Grim...
Joans
kalmar
LaceSensor
Mr Chris
Mr Dave
Mr Russ
myoptika
Rodafowa
vegetables
Zardoz
[/playerlist]

With 15 players alive, 8 votes are required for a lynch and 11 votes for there to be no lynch.

Day IV will time out on Saturday midday. Note that I may not be about very much tomorrow, in my absence both Grim... and Craster can do vote counts.

I would remind the Townies, particularly those fans of Vampire Mathematics, that it's a better win for them if they can stop the serial killer getting his five kills, and that the serial killer has to be dead for the Townies to win in any case.

*opens up cobbling shop*
Oh look! The man with the pointy teeth was a vampire after all! What a surprise!
*snatches shoe from Grim...*
*points heel at Grim...'s face*
I'm going to fix this shoe, but I'm not going to make a good job of it, and you have no other option to like it or lump it as I'm the only godsdamn cobbler in town.
*walks backwards to machinery, not taking his eyes off Grim...*
*grinds away on whatever that fucking machine is that cobblers use*

Ok, I'm a little surprised that Dimrill is still alive, but I guess the Vampires got someone they wanted.

Mr Gaywood, can you confirm that when you say someone is a Vampire, you mean Childe and the Sire is still alive?

Still no idea who to vote for though. Oh and I haven't been bitten.

Looking at what Runcles said in the previous day... Sensible.

1) Very quick to point out correllations between the two main voting efforts. Still think they're safe.
2) Food is served, 2 will have to wait.

I'm not explaining either way. You can't tell from the corpse. Same thing for KevR yesterday.

Fair enough, so either the Sire managed to recruit one extra and there's still a Sire out there, or there's no more Vampires.
I guess now it's even more important for people to own up if they've been bitten so we actually know if we're Vampire-free or not. Don't suppose anyone will though after the last few days.

That's fantastic! Two in one session is unbelievable luck. Do we need RG to confirm that doesn't include the Sire?

This presents a bit of a problem assuming the Vampires are all gone.
We have to start lynching because there aren't any night roles left to kill the SK and noone to roleblock him, so he's going to get his 5th kill tomorrow night.
So, er, any insights?

(and what's FOS again, I remember it being in one of the other games, but I can't remember what it means)

I'm trying to work out if Dave's dinner is a cunning delaying tactic while he disappears to work out something clever to say, as he's done it twice now.

Ah, cheers. I vaguely remembered it had something to do with accusing people.

I can't see Mr Russ as anything but an innocent though?
Dudley says he didn't do anything the first night, and the Sire is the only role that couldn't have done anything on the first night.
I guess it's possible he managed to get a second bite on Runcle last night, but why didn't Runcle own up to being bitten yesterday (but then why didn't anyone)?
Anyway, we've come full circle to Mr Russ is the Sire, or he's innocent.

Craster on the other hand...?

I would LOL out loud if it turns out that Dimrill is the Sire, and they just sacrificed KevR and left the misleading note on the Rev (I did guess he was the Priest, RIP) as a double bluff.

Wow. Dimrill, how come you were so convinced that KevR was a vampire? Are you another priest that has investigated him?

For those who are fans of Vampire Mathematics, the fact that the (a?) childe went to kill Rev Owen last night was probably not based on guess work. The sire probably tried to bite him on a previous night, and found out he was an unbiteable character, so went to kill him last night.

RIP Rev, the only one who believed in my innocence.

This is what I don't get. Dimrill seemed to know what he was on about (and he was right), so I guessed he must have been a priest, so I thought he'd definitely be dead on the night phase. Obviously the Vamps were confident about Rev Owen to take him out first, but it does make you wonder if it's all a distraction to give Dimrill time to build up his new Vampire army.
Regardless, the Serial Killer is our main enemy for the moment, and we've only got 2 lynchings to find him. What do those numbers mean?

Well it seems I'm the only one who does anything in this fucking village. Malc74 was a drunkard... who do you think had to sell him the booze?! ME! THAT'S WHO! This town is facing financial ruin if you don't all start pulling your fucking weight.

Yesterday KevR didn't offer much of a defence when Dimmers started on his kill frenzy. Which with such ferocity you'd at least have expected him to get Dimrill to provide a reason for picking on him. Instead he sort of rolled over and took it. Which made it look like maybe they were in cahoots.

Dimrill frenzies some more and then Runcle comes up and says he is convinced as well. "fair enough" quoth he. Runcle was a vampire, so would also have been in cahoots with him.

This means I am very suspicious of Dimrill at the minute. HOWEVER. I want to examine Vampire Mathematics. We have had three nights so far. There was a vampire and a childe at the start which means 2 vamps. Night 1 there may have been a bite and then still 2 vamps. By night 2 there could be 3 vamps as the 2nd bite took place. By night 3 there may have been another bite, but that still only leaves one person who was embraced.

We now know that 2 vamps are dead (Runcle and KevR) which leaves 1. If it is the sire, they remain the sire. If it was a childe, it has now been promoted to sire. Either way, there's only one vamp left today. Maybe this was a planned sacrifice, and the sire didn't expect the serial killer to get another of his children.

If Dimrill is a man of guilt though, he also fingered Craster yesterday as well as today. If he was sacrificing KevR to gain everyone's confidence, then he must think Craster is a good townie power role. That way we would go after him next. I would like the panel's opinion on why this may be please.

The question that raises, of course, is if I am a vampire sire, why the fucking fuck would I derail an apparent stalemate or stakeing of another person to kill one of my own? That makes no sense and sounds like you're strainin' to do some explainin' there Russy boy.

Obviously he didn't plan for the SK to kill the other Childe, but I even if it is all a cunning plan by Dimrill, we surely need to focus on the SK. Really we'd be better off if there still is a Sire because if the SK targets him then the SK will die.
Whatever happens, we're only going to have 1 death tonight and that will put the SK on 4.
Are the numbers just a percentage? 20, 40, 60, 80, 100% of his kills before he wins?

That does make no sense. We were on for a surefire MrDave lynching. Based on the maths there is no way that MrDave could be a vamp if Dimrill was, so I can't see why Dimrill would stop that to get one of his own lynched,

This is a good point, Mr Dave was in big trouble until Dimrill waded in and practically insisted we lynch KevR. All just part of his master plan I guess? ;)

Hmm. Now you appear to want me to roleclaim. Roleclaiming in this game only benefits one faction, the vampires. Are you sure you want me to roleclaim Mr Russ?

Because, in theory, it totally exonerates you for the rest of the game, meaning you'd win.

Nonsense - if we then found him out to be wrong, he'd be just as up for a lynching as anyone else.

Either that or Dave and Dimrill are Masons or spare priests I suppose. Erm.

Keep up, if he's the Sire he knows full well who the childe are, therefore cannot be wrong!

If there's only the Sire left, he can't kill, so roleclaiming isn't going to matter that much. I guess it tells him who not to bite, mind. The SK wants to know who the priest is though, if we have another.

There can't be any childe(s?) left, so the minute he pointed at someone (in this case me) he'd be proved wrong.

If we get the serial killer and don't win, then we know there's still a vampire out there.
If there's still a vampire out there and he bites someone that's willing to admit to it, then we know there's still a vampire out there.
If there's still a vampire out there, he could possibly have a new childe by tomorrow, so we may start seeing some childe kills, then we know there's still a vampire out there.

It's time for my Day IV ludicrous hypothesis: (don't take these seriously, unless you want to).

Dimrill is the serial killer.
He was bitten by the sire and recruited, but didn't speak up because he wanted to infiltrate the Vamps.
He got us to lynch the sire because he couldn't kill him himself.

Fuck, I've convinced myself now.

Anyway, the summary of what I've said on this page is that Dimrill CANNOT be the Sire. Or at least, not a clever Sire. He could still be the SK.
