You may post in this thread if you're either not playing in this game, or are playing and have died.

A few tips/rules:

If you're a dead mafia person, for the love of christ don't tell us who the rest of the mafia are. Same goes with cult. As much as I trust you all, all it would take is one slip of the tongue or a blatant bit of cheatin' to ruin the whole game. That would be poo, so please don't do that.

Obviously if you're dead, your role has been revealed and you can talk about that much as you like, but again, if you had some kind of role detection ability, please don't share the information unless you're 9000% positive it can't be seen by living players who could make use of the info.

Generally just use common sense because otherwise this minor amount of power will go to my head and you'll feel my extreme prejudice.

We can talk about how much Craster smells though?

I'm interested to see how this goes, because my game - GothamScum, so some lucky bugger gets to be the motherfucking Batman - includes some extra help for the town, because they've been so useless in previous games. If the town actually play properly this time I may have to rejig the rules a little bit.

(If anyone wants to offer any advice on my new rules, by the way, let me know and I'll PM them to you.)

Posting them up somewhere beforehand is a good plan, chatting out rules is a good way to go. Personally I haven't a clue if these rules are going to bias any one team, but I hope it'll make it interesting. I think the town are a bit more empowered this time but only to compensate for the apparent disadvantage they've had so far.

On an unrelated note, I read in Empire on the weekend that the film of The Dark Night Returns, which was mooted on and off for a few years before the Nolan/Bale version got off the ground, was potentially going to cast Clint Eastwood as Bruce Wayne. Fuck me, that would have been excellent.

I could post the rules in here to give us something to talk about. Or not, if it would break the point of the thread.

This "not lynch anyone on day 1" seems flawed to me. Take that to the extremes and the townies wouldn't do anything on day 1 -- so the mafia and cult get a free run night 1.

Myk is really blatantly not a townie to a degree that's uncomfortable to watch. I'm going to feel really bad when this is wrong, and he is. It's terrible play no matter what he is; claiming vanilla day 1 is a really silly thing to do.

Do the culted retain their roles in the cult? If they do then I predict they'll win should the leader survive any length of time.

Actually, there's a massive 8 people they can't recruit rising to 9 if the fence-sitter goes Mafia which they will do if they're playing well, so perhaps I've been a bit hasty saying that. Cult should attempt to force a mass claim, as otherwise they're going to find it very difficult to grow.

In a more experienced forum I might agree, but nobody here trusts each other enough to do clever mass-tactical play.

I'm looking forward to finding out what myp is now.
