Sort of. I thought maybe I was in a cult, but I wasn't. A fellow mason guessed correctly. If you think you might be a mason, you can contact me tonight, and you'll join.
Except I'll probably be killed, of course. Bloody Russell.

Are you saying that anyone who contacts you becomes a mason and joins you, or that only people who are already masons who contact you can join?

I don't know (obviously), but I strongly suspect the latter.

I don't like the sound of these masons.

I'm also wary of people with suicidal tendancies.

Dagnammit.. got the wrong day for dentist >.<

Anyway...

1) Having perused a few issues of Fortean Times before I was kidnapped & brought here, I recall stories about psychics who investigate one person (the target?) and send the results to someone else (the contact?). I suspect that is what happened with Runcle. So - if you targeted Grim & contacted Runcle, then you are probably a psychic. Go you!

2) If the bad guys have a recruiter, then there is no reason Grim can't be a mason and a bad guy.

3) Good/bad is relative, so it may be that Runcle & Grim are on opposite sides, though if this was the case then I doubt Runcle would have spoken up about it if he knew he was a baddie. But then Runcle may be a goon & not know it if he hasn't made contact with his boss.

I didn't vote earlier as it's good to talk about stuff first before rushing off to vote, but I think from the logic above that Grim... is in all likelihood a baddie, and if he isn't then Runcle probably is (and doesn't know it)

I suspect that's unlikely - if I am bad, I don't know it, and I don't seem to have any magic powers.
I do know that I'm not in a cult, and I can't imagine that the killers could recruit people, as that would make our life very hard indeed.

I only asked because you said you would vote for Grim.. later, rather than that you'd have a think about who to vote for, so it seemed like you'd made up your mind but wouldn't actually vote for some reason, but I think I understand what you mean.

Ok, well I think the Runcle/Grim... information is our strongest lead (though I'm also suspicious of Wookie), but which of these is our best chance of a baddie lynch. Current voting seems to suggest Grim... is twitching more people's radars at the moment.

Well, one person has voted for you since you declared you were a mason, but I was mostly just looking at the raw numbers.

It's a case of whether to believe you or Runcle at the moment, and you've already said you've been lying, but then Runcle saying he had information he wouldn't share but then did later... Just not sure.

It could just be that you & Runcle are on different sides, so Runcle may be a baddie & not know it, or you could be a memoryless-masonic-mafia-mole... (or you could easily have your memory & are a lying git)

Either way its Runcle or Grim... up for the chop I reckon, as we get to learn stuff:

Whether we really do have a psychic & if so are they worth listening to?
Is Runcle really a big fat liar?
And does Grim... really have unnatural relations with goats?

All this & more can be yours if you:

And also blatantly untrue.

You think it's not interesting, or you think Wookie did put it there?

I think Wookie did put it there.

Nu-uh. It was just there when I woke up and there's nothing I can do about it. I suspect this is a boobies confusion tactic.

So you're claiming you cannot just do an 'unvote'? If you truly cannot change the vote then there is something dodgy going on. However, if you can change it and haven't/won't, then the FoS is hovering.

Can Boobie put words into someone else's mouth though? He can probably change our collective recollections to modify what someone has said, but to say something completely new from someone?

I imagine changing what someone has said is trivial for Boobie. Actually saying something new as an individual would seem somewhat unlikely, unless Bobbie can 'possess' people, which does stack the odds against most if not all of us.

If one of us has this power, those outside their clique have almost no chance of winning, unless the power is limited to just votes, or, say, once a day.

okay, so what do we know:
1)We had a Sheriff and a deputy. they could "befriend" each other, presumably allowing them to communicate in some way; the implication being that occurred if one of them chose to contact the other. They could investigate, but they returned different things, S Primary, DS Secondary win conditions.
*2) People can have more than one win condition
3) There are insignificant test subjects (ITS)
4) There was a serial killer - *he killed twice
5) None of the dead people so far have secondary win conditions (Which we have been informed of)
6) There is at least one other killer (assume Mafia)
*7) There "are more antisocial types" in the room
8) It is likely there is a cult of some description, *"what might be known as a Cult in one town would be a Religion in another".
*9) There is a(t least one) "benign organisation" - this could refer to Masons it could refer to our departed law bringers.
10) At no point (that I have found) does it state that voting for people will kill them.
11) Malc's "investigative" role is useless, and is probably just a secondary of some such, but given the cryptic nature of things is likely to be a game being played by Boobies with potentially high rewards.
12) 5 people guessed their roles - (can anyone confirm the got turned down by Boobies)

Assumptions:
1) A Mafia organisation exists
2) A cult exists
3) The Mafia do not know each other, but could contact each other if they were able to locate each other during a night contact action.
4) The cult can recruit through their night action so know who each other are.
5) Not all Mafia night actions can be carried out every night as there is no one to co-ordinate them.

*information obtained from Boobies, therefore may not be true.

Can anyone add anything to this list?

Okay, so
1) Runcle is mafia and is lying Why would he do that at this point?
2) Grim.. is a bad guy
3) There is an incompetent investigator
4) There is a bad guy who can trick good guys.

You have to admit, 2 is the most likely.

I'm thinking this too. I agree with the wanting to lynch someone, but I'd really rather it wasn't Grim... Just yet.

I completely agree I just don't want to risk getting rid of someone who might be able to help us.

I'm going to [vote:Joans] I still think that aiming for a baddie is a shot in the dark and the moment, and if we're going to risk hitting one of our own then I'd rather it was someone who wasn't contributing anyway, it's less of a loss that way.

I was waiting off to see if voting perhaps started to shift. I think we need a lynch, because right now the baddies are just picking us off.

I think the situation between Grim... And Runcle is our best chance of gleaning some information as to who is telling the truth. I have no idea which one would be the better candidate for lynching, but my gut instinct was saying Runcle, but I can't honestly say that there were solid thought processes behind that. But we need to find out *something* via a lynch, and it seems our only chance for a lynch at the present numbers is to target Grim...

[vote:Grim...]
