If Craster isn't mafia, we now know exactly who is. They should have bandwagoned him a hell of a lot quicker like we did in G2.

Did he just unlock the thread to plead his innocence, despite having four votes?

Hmm, I guess he was just typing away and didn't notice the final vote and mods can post in locked threads, or something.

That.

Oh dear. I doubt he'd have role-claimed unless he meant it.

Aaaand the mafia's fucked. Keeping the doc alive was their best chance. The cult can't recruit and 2/3 who didn't vote for cras are mafia unless they've taken a very, VERY risky sacrifice strategy which would be undone by previous voting patterns.

It's still not impossible for the 2 cultists to win.

I blame Malc. He broke the deal. He was supposed to kill Curio!

Ga. It's either a town or cult game now, it would appear.

Also, I was sure the thread wasn't locked when I posted - I checked. Oh well.

To add to this, there isn't even a prompt, it just works. On other boards I've done it by mistake myself more than once.

I've just PM'd Craster to say this, but claiming to be the vigilante was an absolutely brilliant move from him. He's just unlucky to have been a bit late with it.

Hello, all! Would anyone like a leaflet?

Craster was going to claim Vigilante status the first day he came under suspicion. (Un?)fortunately he didn't have to because I ended up taking the attention away from him.

Who knows? Hopefully he'll have investigated someone by now. Seems to be taking out the cult, but they're not much of a threat anymore.

I might still yet win despite being lynched on the first day!

I think it would have given us enough doubt for 1 swing voter, which is all we needed. I just wasn't quick enough.

Bad luck Cras. I can't help but think we should have been PM'ing each other more often to discuss tactics, it occurred to me shortly after my death that I (and all of us, really) went about our business without really consulting the others much. I was also really paranoid that I'd accidentally include a non-Maf in a PM. Grim... really needs to get a reply to all button sorted ;)

Or it would have brought the Vigilante out of the woodwork for a good Mafia whacking. Either way, great idea only foiled by the fastest lynching in history.

Timings were difficult. Often people weren't around for a few hours at critical times and stuff. It was tricky to coordinate much other than night actions.

Can you give us a breakdown of what you did each night as the Cult Leader? Some we already know, but I'm curious as to whether you tried to recruit any Mafia and that's how you knew for sure who we were ;)

It'd be excellent to have something like an IRC chat or a google group chat going for the mafia team. No tedious messing about with PMs.

Don't want to say too much just in case, but I didn't miss on a single recruitment target. Unfortunately, there are a bunch of other people who didn't miss my targets, either.

Sinister and Kalmar getting topped before they could do me any good unfortunately meant I didn't have enough minions yesterday to send them to try and whip the rest of the town into shape and unfortunately had to "go public" myself - I couldn't take the chance of the dopy townies lynching ANOTHER person they shouldn't because if they did it didn't matter if anyone knew what I was, we'd have lost.

The flip side is after today, if people think curio is mafia, they are dim. Whoever you voted for is likely not to be mafia.

Also, if they have the sense to check voting historys and stuff.

They need to realise that the mafia are now less relevant than the cult - especially if the cult have the vig.

Oh, and Craster - was denying voting for Myoptika an honest mistake, or was there a subtler scheme at work?

The news ticker needs updating, it still going on about Day 3.

I think in the end the roles were pretty much even. It's down to two of each faction, can't get more even than that.

I'm not entirely convinced, the mafia and vig now have kills. Let's say the Vig offs a mafia, and the mafia off the vig.

1 mafia
1 bulletproof townie
2 cult

no bad decision made as such, but suddenly the cult can prevent lynchings (or perhaps even force the bulletproof to get lynched).

The Mafia are not dead, the cult could well be. Bear in mind if the mafia wins, craster wins, don't listen too close :)

It's not like we have any influence on the game.

Basically, the town can't afford to make any mistakes. But as compared to games past, they actually stand something of a chance as compared to previous games.

Yeah I agree, it largely depends on whether the mafia kill a townie or a cultie, or even better, the bulletproof.

A fuckup :0)

I honestly thought I'd stayed clear day 1.

What I want to know is, where the hell did Curiosity come from?! I was in the clear pretty much, other than the odd couple of votes from Kalmar, which were being ignored, and then *bam*, Curiosity turns up with a "here are the bad guys" post. Whoah!
