Oh, and reasons for my innocence...
the whole specialisation claim stuff (in that I STARTED IT!!!):

Mr Dom, Day 1, page 6 wrote:
...I am but a humble Entomologist, so my piloting skills are sadly lacking. Survival-wise, I can at least tell you if the small spider on your neck is a harmless Turnip Spider, or is in fact the remarkably similar one known locally as 'Yakitanga', literally translated as 'Bite of long and drawn out agonising death'.
Just saying, like.

Anyway, hows this for an idea.. if you really are a humble scientist, how about you let people know what your speciality is?
In the spirit of scientific interest...

Prior to that, noone had mentioned the existence of scientific specialisations. (Cross-reference this with day 1, page 1 where I reference my study of local Bole Weevils as further evidence in my favour).

Those who gave some decent hints in their posts prior to page 6 & me making this suggestion, have a very good veneer of respectability about them (see my list above, + Zaphod).

Ok, further developments...
Malc wrote:
My thoughts?
Joans is being quiet, but I don't see that as necersarilly suspect as he's always been a quiet one, Lace is acting suspicially, but then he is kinda shifty any way.
Do we think a quiet person is more likely to be bad than a shifty person?
I think we often go for the chatty ones, and perhaps it's time the quiet ones got their comeupance...
[vote: joans]

Hmmm.. I am leaning HEAVILY towards Malc being Cylon from my shortlist...
and if so, this post puts a definite non-cylon tick on Joans, although he could still be the psycho. Doesn't clear LS either..

Hmm.. the thick plottens...

I am highly suspicious of Zaphod. I have been all game, but I've been completely unable to put my finger on why I have been. Zaphod, please tell me, why am I suspicious of you?

It's interesting to note that a Cylon cannot vote for another Cylon in a successful lynch without playing against their win condition.

Malc voting for Joans effectively clears at least one of them, unless they are playing fast and loose with the rules, or he changes his mind later.

BTW - I'm not 100% convinced that the Cylons won't have cover stories. They are, as we all know, very good at imitating humanses.

Considering you're such a stickler for the rules, shouldn't that post be in italics?

Oops

Also, if Cylons have cover stories, then LS is still a suspect.

To be quite honest, I don't really know if Joans is a cylon or not, I'm just doing exactly what I did on day 1, I think Lace is acting in a similiar way to Kovacs did, he has attracted votes, the only other person who has votes is Joans, he's being quiet, let's try and get him to come out and say something.

The ideal situation (imo) would be for them both to be on 4/5 votes each, it would also be nice to hear what others have to say on the matter, because I think that's where we pick up the most amount of clues.

I'm willing to hear my idea shot down, because that too is useful, anything that prompts debate is useful. As long as it's not circular arguing as that leads to confusion/panic/boredom based voting..

It's becoming clear that just stating professions is unreliable (as I'm certain Cylons can both talk and lie). Clamoring to spout detailed information on your role can obviously arouse suspicion - which is why I haven't.

I can see this tactic may be about to bite me in my fleshy human buttocks!

She is carrying a plainly dead toddler.

Hey, at least my paper aeroplane flies well, and the beer, while not particularly cold, will give some calorific benefit.

Okay , I *thought* in my first post I mentioned something about getting to the 'root' of the issue , or the root of the problem (I even referred back to it in my second post) but I *cant* find the first one , the only one I can see now is my commenting on Squirts fanatacism about plants.

So quite possibly drafted but not posted.

I did claim to be a root specialist in my second post but that was after Mr Dom's 'reveal' that he thought scientists had specific roles.

Theres not much more I can say for that - I'm a scientist , I dont know what i've done to make you suspicious Mr Dave , although you did swagger twards me yesterday after your 'lucky' night so you obviously had me on your mind :-)

Thats a very subjective reading of the rules , I'd thinky a Cylon probably couldnt participate in a finished vote (they should be able to vote and unvote for each other though otherwise we could just say right now - Mr Dave vote for everyone one after another and get everyone to do that - end of game)

True,

but if you don't have the situation, you just have everyone jumping on a "must lynch someone" bandwagon, at least my way you have 2 chances of picking a badun. In the end it's all just speculation and guesses based on how much you think people are telling the truth, bluffing, double bluffing etc (ps, sorry for missing out ... in previous post)
