Yep, because that's who they are targeting.

So yes, the investigators are very powerful - they are a doctor and a watcher, and because there are only one lot of bad guys, they can also identify a good guy at the same time. And they can of course block vote, though there aren't that many of them.

Though this is, of course, balanced by them being 'one use' types. The second one pipes up with info, they 'die' in the night, and cannot be protected.

Also, Kalmar sounds dodgy...

More use than a standard power role - because they effectively have one 'free life'.

The town effectively have a cop, a mason doctor, and a mason watcher, and one of the masons can be lost without losing either of the doctor/watcher roles. The only restriction is that the doctor and watcher roles are effectively forced into targeting the same person.

So if this is a real roleclaim, is it of any real use? Or does it just stave off the goblins for one more day, at the cost of one of the investigators?

If its a real roleclaim (which i believe) then you want to look back and see who has been protecting Joans from the start - he was almost strung up on day one until GJ came in and with a little help pulled it back.

On the other hand as i posted above it can be a false claim - if you were one of the investigators and this happened then your given another freebie since you now claim and out the goblin who attacked last night unless that was malc in which case it all gets very confusing (actually that would be a great claim for the outed goblin this morning - they should have came straight on - claimed X was the baddie and said they were an investigator - with a bit of luck they could have had another 'kill' out of it)

A lynched goodie today and one overnight could well be enough for the goblins to win the game...

Awesome tactics today would be to roleclaim as an investigator, point the finger at an innocent. Get them naughtified, have a free shot tonight, game over if you play the cards right.

Yeah, too late now though.

And to think, I was the one leading the push away from Joans, as I knew he was in Germany watching Villa get stuffed and I thought he'd had enough misery in his life... the bastard goblin!!!

I think Malc's roleclaim is sensible, but it depends on the amount of goblins, really.

Malc 'dies' overnight, but they're down a goblin, and everyone else can sleep safely and start analysing who is on the good side.

Comical is now a known good guy too, so can start throwing his weight around with impunity. Which could be amusing.

That'll be fun when he gets to read the dead thread

I predicted Joans being evil you'll note.

Santa has now got 4 pieces of information. Unless he/she has been very unlucky and chosen those who are on the naughty list, now might be a smart time to reveal, and ask for protection by the other investigator.

You also predicted me being evil in the abandoned first game. When I was Santa :)
Still you were nice about my rhyming attempts, so I'll let you off. :p

Hi,

I sacraficed myself as I wasn't really able to play too much. It would have been nice to have 2 bits of information to reveal, but at least the goblins had to off me, which hopefully protected some "more active" good boy/girl.

Also, I think Santa has role claimed subtly.

and I hope I wasn't cheating by posting as my daughter?

Malc

Er - you did?

You also ignored the posting restriction, but I'll let you off for extenuating circumstances :D

He pretended to post as his daughter to attempt to get around the '3rd person' thing, didn't he?

Ha! So he did - I didn't even notice. Well that was in third person, so I reckon it counts :0)

JBR says: "I'm convinced she's [Goddess Jasmine] good, see, hence going straight after Myoptinsel as soon as he went for her."

Is JBR subtly roleclaiming as the second Super Junior Investigator, and knows that Myoptinsel tried to come for GJ in the night?

I'm not sure but Shin and GJ are looking like some sort of group. Santa and the other investigator maybe if they're not evil.

JBR does looks suss as all fuck too, protecting GJ.

JBR would only know good/bad for sure if he was Santa. Ditto with Comical and his claim against Myp.

I'm surprised there was a run on JBR. Looks like a goblin horde to me...
