When is the ballot being carried out?
Dunno. A few days before it starts, I guess.

Aha, oops. Fixed.

The other drawback about perceived 'stronger' players is that they often get killed early on, 'just in case'.
This. There is an iterative prisoner's dilemma game going on around players who are -- or more accurately, who are perceived to be -- strong. If they are on the other side they are targets, either for killing or recruitment. It's not a bad thing, it's part of the game, I think.

when gaywood (appeared to say) you were more likely to be a townie this game because of the previous ones.
That's not what I was getting at though, I just worded it badly. I mean CG's likely to be a Townie because Townie's are more common than any other role; I was actually thinking (although not saying) Townie-aligned, not Vanilla Townie. If you are in the cult or mafia, people like CG, yourself, Craster, Curiosity -- aforementioned strong players -- are targets for assination or conversion. Additionally, the Town knows that in any game with a cult-like faction, as the game goes on they are more likely to be converted (if still alive) and hence less trustworthy.
This is somewhat spread out though because if we get 3-5 of these perceived strong players in one game you can't give them all special treatment.

Please take me out of the ballot for this one. Potentially I'm not going to be near a computer for half the game.
It looks like we won't be starting until 7th July though -- i.e. a week off before we begin. Does that change what you said?
