Sigh Gaz, I can't decide if you're the lone mafioso who is keen to off me for some reason, or you're just an unwise townie.

Just a townie, probably unwise, with a deep-rooted suspicion that I can't quite place. On reflection, perhaps not the best way of playing the game. Especially with the cult being the biggest threat. [VOTE:unvote], again.

After thinking about it, the cult leader would logically stay pretty quiet to avoid attracting unwanted attention. With this in mind, Taxalot and JBR instantly stick out.

Indeed, the cultists can if needed be loudmouthed, like say, Mr Chris or Dims but the leader would be quietish.

I dunno, I had a feeling about JBR myself, it's just not a good way to play.

Because our record of lynching townies makes the labour government look competent?

I'm here, but only posting when online - which, er, hasn't been very often. And when and if I can work anything out, which is rarely - I was pretty sure Sheepeh was innocent, but didn't get here till too late to do anything about it. Strangely, I suspect CG is innocent of real evil doing, too, though may well now be part of a growing cult - this lack of killing is working for them, so perhaps they've a role blocker (or two - is that possible?) on their side.

Do we find out if townie people are cultists when they die? If not, then Sheepeh could have been, and with the doctor and perhaps the scientist to protect and roleblock they're a pretty powerful group. Who *they* might be, though, I can't decide. There's few enough of us now that surely one of those people saying "well, I've my suspicions..." is trying to edge us towards lynching anyone still deemed a danger but, again... er, who? I'm off to read back.

I do think we should stop terrifying poor Dimmers, though - the quality of his ramblings goes right down when he's a-scared.

The only way for the cult to get a roleblocker is recruit the scientist and use his magic box.

Yes, Craster has confirmed this in the chat thread.

Vote Update

grim...: 2 votes (mr chris, richardgaywood)
mr chris: 2 votes (dimrill, dudley)

Not voted: vegetables, comicalgnomes, sir taxalot, grim..., jbr, gazchap

With 10 players alive, 6 votes are required for a lynch.

That was mostly not gut feelings, though; we lynched Sheepeh because we believed Dimrill and LaceSensor for Logic and Reasons. Dimrill and CG, who there've been probably the most gut distrust of, are both still alive.

Thanks all. So we've not managed to kill any cultists - they've either not succeeded in recruiting many, or are close to a win condition. I like the menacing nature of that, but - bugger!

A vague sense of the writing style of the kills really, (the SK does write them right?). Like I say, gut feeling.

Nah, by the feel of these parcels, which are like some ornate knives, I'd say he's a cultist. I suspect Mr Gaywood of innocence, though, just from watching him those 2 1 nights.

Reading through day 1 again, Dudley doesn't half seem guilty of something - possibly only of 'getting involved' in the game, but if it isn't just that then I think he's a mafioso.

JBR - Possible certainly (although in amusing no-one's going to believe this style, I had you pegged as Mafia, think I mentioned that above) but you'll note (and no-one's going to believe this either) the balance of probability from the no kills last night etc is that they do have a Roleblocker, which at least means I was wrong there. I hope that counts for me.

So far the mafia have generally been pretty quiet - well, the ones we know about, and perhaps that's because they're dead - which certainly puts me in the frame, but I like to think my innocence will shine through.

Well as we worked out, there's a possibility the mafia are literally down a roleblocker now and are thus pretty impotent.

That's true. Or that it's all a bit cagey - with the tracker and voyeur still about, it could just be that a quiet day or two is needed so the PM of suspicion passes over them. You have to be a pretty brave/convinced one of the former to pick the same player two nights in a row if they did nothing/nothing happened to them the night before. I suspect there'll be some more killings tonight and if I don't shut up, I'll be one of them.

I think you'd be brave to do something as mafia, if there were no killings on a night I tracked, I'd target the same guy next day. All it achieves is the mafia losing a day and risking the townies or the SK bumping off one of their own.

I guess you're right - given that we're only on day 5, and day 4 went by in a whoosh, but there are still several people to target, and any of them might be up to something, given the number of special roles left.

Well theoretically there were as few as 5 completely vanilla townies to start. Other than me we may well have killed off the other 4, can't be arsed to go count.

There's at least 2 of us left then, assuming of course that you (and I) are telling the truth about being townies.

There's multiple good reasons why I don't want to do that.

The major one being that I am not mafia.

No, that would be a lie. Just trying to work out odds. I know I'm not lying, so if Duds isn't either then that's 2 vanilla townies against a maximum of 1 Mafia roleblocker and who knows how many cultists.

As we've not really had much in the way of useful information from them, I'm going to assume that the tracker and voyeur have been recruited.

*a little voice drifts on the wind from the post office*
There's still me the voyeur and the tracker left too.

*bellowing*
IF MR CHRIS IS NOT A CULTIST I WILL GIVE UP MY BELOVED JOB AT THE POST OFFICE.

Where's that child I delivered to Mr Chris on day 1?! Has it BEEN SACRIFICED IN A SATANIC BLOOD ORGY perchance?!

I'm unconvinced - I think you're a clever chap and have successfully diverted any attacks on you. It's still most likely that that's because you're a townie, of course, but I've no dirt on anyone else being a real bad boy.

While I thank you for saying I'm clever, do bear in mind I was stupid enough to miss "0-1 roleblocker" in the reviews and then blurt out the wrong info at a staggering inopportune time :)

I reckon Dudley's looking a bit more suspicious - I'd not really jumped on the initial "Oooh, Dudley's made a mistake about the roles!" thing at the beginning, but it's all looking more suspect now. I've been becoming more and more convinced that you're a cultist, so :
